Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[ As it happened, Prim was picking up a carton of milk. There wasn't any Lady the goat to milk, in Luceti, so...that, at least, was something she had to pick up, if she had any interest in using it.

The reminder, however, stops her dead. Cash register? They had to pay for things here now? But she hadn't arrived with any money, and Katniss had said... ]

There's money here? [ She's...putting the milk back down, ruefully, but it can't be helped. It's not like they haven't gone without plenty of times before. This is a luxury more than a necessity, and Prim's already revising her day plans. ]

[She gives a small sigh of annoyance.] Don't tell me that you don't have any either. I am so fed up with nobody in this place having any money! Fine. Fine - if you don't have money, then you must have some kind of talent, some kind of service you can do.

[ A talent? ]

I'm good with herbs and medicines. And I can make goat cheese. [ She doesn't have a goat, though. Prim glances around, trying to think what she actually has to offer. ] I can gather edible plants, and...

[ Trade game from Katniss, if her sister put up the game. And...and what? ]

...Well, do you need help around here? [ She's unsure exactly what would appeal to this stranger, honestly. ]

There's not much to do, if no one brings in money. Except that some of the sections get messy after people rummage through them. Or let their animals go through them. You could help keep that clean. If you think you can.

[ Bringing in money is the hard part. Is there even currency here? Surely no one has been hiding it. Although Prim's not one to argue with how someone runs their shop (although thinking about it, she's fairly certain this didn't used to be the case - was anyone even running the place?) so she doesn't ask that. ]

I'm good at keeping things clean. I could definitely do that! [ She likes being useful, anyway, especially now that she doesn't have hospital shifts or 13's schedule on her wrist. It's a weird sort of freedom, and Prim isn't sure what to do with it.

...And, well, she might as well ask. ] Are you trying to start up some sort of barter system? I can bring something to trade next time, too.

If we can't develop currency, then you're right. We'll just start small with bartering. You'll have to help encourage more people to think that way as well.

[ The "everything is free" mindset was pretty strange to her to start with, and she's still new. Bartering makes more sense, although she doesn't have the same resources she used to. ]

My sister does that already. Trades game to people. [ Katniss doesn't believe in free, either. ] So I think some people wouldn't mind it?
