Oh, that's a bad thought. Tony trying to out-do the Malnosso. Pepper closes her eyes and tries not to shudder, because she knows Tony's going to try, and probably already has, and now she's here and it's going to be worse because of that.
It's sweet how he shows he cares. Really, it is. Pepper just wishes sometimes that it wasn't also so...problematic? Yes, problematic's a good word, she decides. Safe.
She polishes off her martini, then orders another before munching on an olive.

Pepper's been in the village for a few days now, long enough to decide that Tony does not get to keep the entire house looking like his lab if he expects her to spend any significant amount of time there. So she's made it to the item shop, where she slowly wanders the aisles, picking up a few pieces to make the place look less his and more his-with-her-touch at the very least. Tasteful pieces, some of which are already in a neat pile near the front wall, out of the way of other people who might also be browsing.
Vases are a bad idea, probably, given how easily they break. But it doesn't stop her from picking up one and turning it around in her hands anyway, or trying to picture where she could put it so it can both be seen and survive for more than a few hours.]
