it's time once again for a...test drive meme!
Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Her lip was busted, an open gash had been hastily wrapped around her upper arm. There'd probably be another scar there before long. A low and bitter but short laugh passed between Fang's lips shaking her frame, causing her to feel the necklaces bounce against her tanned skin. Well, wasn't this just fitting. Get out of one mess and into another. Honestly, it hurt to breath, her ribs were probably cracked but thankfully, for the most part, she'd managed to keep these damn wings out of it. Perhaps she'd gotten lucky on for that much at least. Regardless of Lady Luck being on her side or not, Fang was hurting and quite frankly was in almost desperate need of help even if she was determined to stagger her way back to a safe place. With lance strapped to her back, careful of these fal'Cie be dammed wings, bloodied and torn sari she carried on. A dribble of blood trailed down over her chin from the split lip and each step forward felt like a hundred mile march, one her body protested and strained against, muscles longing to give up and collapse beneath her. It didn't matter though, it wouldn't matter, she wouldn't allow it to.
She couldn't do that to her family after all.]
(B: Open Mic Night/Push Her Up There.)
The 'ell is this? [Eyes narrowed, examining the scene laid out before her. There was a stage set up with all sorts of Gizmos and people prancing about it. Sure, they'd had celebrations back in Oerba, but none tended to seem as elaborate or... Well, from her assessment, regular looking as this mess did. With a glance being given over the situation again, it was a split second before a microphone was nearly shoved into one of her hands and someone was attempting to urge Fang on stage. A low grumble emerged from her throat and Fang locked her stance steady. No one was budging her until she damn well knew what the hell all of this was about.]
B
[Pascal is also there with a mic in her hands, looking excitedly up at the stage. Honestly, she is perhaps the worst singer to have ever graced a stage in Luceti, but who really cares how bad you are? You're meant to do this sort of thing for fun!]
Come ooon, just think of all those cheering, happy faces while you're up there!
[Do you need dragging up there, Fang? Pushing? Pascal might give you a nudge if you really need it!]
Ahaha
Not a bit. [A brief nod of her head would be given towards the stage however.]
What's all this? [The cheering, happy faces are not what she really cares about right now.]
I'm so sorry |D
By the time Fang asks her question, Pascal is already heading up on stage. She ends up coming back to retrieve Fang though, no point in going up and rocking the stage alone when there are meant to be two people up there.]
Huh? This is a stage and this whole place is a nightclub. Ephinea never had something like this, it's pretty cool! You just go up there, sing your heart out and have a blast!
[Now come on, times a' wastin'! Pascal will try taking Fang's hand to lead her up to the stage. She's trying her best to be as friendly and helpful as she can!]
Nah, don't be! xD
Can't say I'm all that familiar. [.... Sing??? That's going to earn another slight frown.]
Now, I'm not so sure about that. [It's not that she's scared mind you, it's just that, this isn't exactly what Fang would normally consider a good time per se.]
o7!
No time for not being sure Fang, you're getting dragged up on stage by one very excitable Pascal.]
You don't need to be sure about it, just do your own thing and soon you'll be having fun in no time! Probably.

Shouldn't ya wait it out a minute? See what all the fuss is about, yea? [This was just getting curiouser and curiouser.]
Wouldn't be so sure about that. [The words were kept slightly low as Fang eyed the stage wearily but allowed herself to begin moving up onto it with the other's insistence.]
I'm not really much of a singer. [Though at this point, it was probably a bit late for that.]
hellooooooooooooo and sorry for being late! A!
Panting, it's starting to get dark when Vanille slows to a stop and spots the figure far ahead of her, slumped and shambling forward in what absolutely has to be pain. As if any of her fatigue had drained from her body, she picks back up, running at full speed, shouting out for the figure still far enough away to be not much else but a blur and a shadow. ]
Fang..!
Howdy there! No worries~
Each step vibrated up through her body, shaking the cracked ribs which caused her features to twitch with pain at every movement. It was hard to listen for possible threats, things moving in the woods around her, but she tried anyway. Focusing on other things would help much more than simply allowing the pain ripple through every part of he-
And that was when she heard her name. The voice and call familiar. Swallowing hard, and blinking a few times to clear the haze that was setting in around her vision, Fang stopped the slow march, head raising to look up, trying to find who she thought had just called her.]
Vanille...?

Her feet finally slowed beneath her once she was within arms reach, taking care not to run into Fang and worsen her injuries. She had a few more moments to wait before she could try another spell— she didn't care how many it took, she'd exhaust herself before she'd Fang go unattended to.
Panting between words, her hands grip at the other woman's sari, only to find her fingers come away stained red. ] What happened to you?

Run in with somethin' out 'ere. [Lips twitched, forcing that faint smile back up even though speaking still hurt. At least it hurt less than it did earlier.]
Don't worry though, you should see the otha' guy. [And another smile would be pushed onto her lips, it was the least she could do to ease Vanille's concern.]
