it's time once again for a...test drive meme!

the luceti test drive meme

Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[The mantra about her final destination not being much further ahead carried on in her mind. While Fang had an urge to look up, to see just how far she'd made it, that seemed like a counter productive move in her current state. It was easy to feel cornered, desperate in a moment like this and that was the last thing anyone needed from her in this instance. The hand of her uninjured arm raised, the back of it attempting to wipe blood away and really only succeeding in smearing across her hand. Blood dripping was always an annoying feeling. While in many ways it felt a lot like water, it wasn't the same, there were differences in the consistency of the substance. One being that blood was far more sticky and harder to get out of fabrics. Though, it was better when it was some beasts blood, easier to cope with then.

Each step vibrated up through her body, shaking the cracked ribs which caused her features to twitch with pain at every movement. It was hard to listen for possible threats, things moving in the woods around her, but she tried anyway. Focusing on other things would help much more than simply allowing the pain ripple through every part of he-

And that was when she heard her name. The voice and call familiar. Swallowing hard, and blinking a few times to clear the haze that was setting in around her vision, Fang stopped the slow march, head raising to look up, trying to find who she thought had just called her.]

Vanille...?

[ It wasn't just a phantom voice shouting her name— when Fang glanced up, Vanille had grown close enough to see the look on her face, only making her pace that much more frenzied. She'd hardly ever seen her looking so weak and drained, and when she had, it'd taken the healers days to get her patched up almost good as new, and even then it'd been bed-rest for at least a week until she was fully healed and ready to take on the wilderness of Gran Pulse again. Luckily, they had something stronger than bandages or healing potions and salves at their disposal, even at only half-power as their arrival in Luceti left them. Before she was even close enough to touch her, she was already readying and launching several healing spells; it would be enough to take care of some of her wounds, but Vanille could tell it ran much deeper than a few cuts and scrapes.

Her feet finally slowed beneath her once she was within arms reach, taking care not to run into Fang and worsen her injuries. She had a few more moments to wait before she could try another spell— she didn't care how many it took, she'd exhaust herself before she'd Fang go unattended to.

Panting between words, her hands grip at the other woman's sari, only to find her fingers come away stained red. ]
What happened to you?

[It was a welcome relief to see a familiar face and caused a faint but tired smile to pull at her lips. The trek undoubtedly wouldn't be as hard now and it was one of few things she'd found herself thankful for today. Clearly, Lady Luck was at least somewhat on her side. A low throaty noise emerged from behind closed lips at the feeling of curative magics hitting her. Each spell left a lingering warm and tingling sensation as bruising faded, muscles began to stitch themselves back together from where they'd been slashed open. Of course, the spells that had been launched wouldn't be even close to enough right now. Once Vanille was in reach Fang stopped her forward movement, and especially after gripping at the sari, Fang reached up, a hand moving to stroke at the back of Vanille's hair gently before coming to rest on one of the other woman's shoulders. A squeeze of the shoulder beneath her hand was given in attempts to assure the other. However, the action came off as terribly weak, a faint tensing of fingers attempting to grasp at Vanille's shoulder more than an actual squeeze of assurance.]

Run in with somethin' out 'ere. [Lips twitched, forcing that faint smile back up even though speaking still hurt. At least it hurt less than it did earlier.]

Don't worry though, you should see the otha' guy. [And another smile would be pushed onto her lips, it was the least she could do to ease Vanille's concern.]
