Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Sup Luceti. Someone is roaming around the village and the outskirts, taking in the sights. Particularly, looking for places to train and things to train with. He's dressed for the environment, totally. After all, if he could wear it abroad, he can wear it in Luceti, right?

He can also be found scoping out the grocery store and restaurant scene... Like he's looking for something in particular.]

[spohkh]

[Standing rather stiffly in the produce section examining fruit. Looks up to see a rather interesting looking individual seeming to be wandering aimlessly. Still confused by the lack of logic which is Luceti, Spock is compelled to communicate with the individual.]

Greetings, I am Spock. [lifts hand in Vulcan salute] Are you familiar with your surroundings?

[thunderfists]

[He had grown used to sensing others around him, and so he practically feels those eyes on him as he browses through the grocery store. But he doesn't pay it much attention--since it's not a hostile presence--until they happen to be facing each other.

And he blinks at the salute ... before wondering if he's supposed to be mimicking it.]

I can't say that I am, no. [...] Spock.

[spohkh]

[drops hand and takes a deliberate step closer. Spock's height towers over the new acquaintance.]

Then perhaps we can be of assistance to one another. I seem to have lost my science equipment upon entering this world. Have you experienced this phenomena with your possessions?
[Spock's eyes travel up to the bandage on the stranger's forehead.]
Perhaps an introduction on your behalf is in order. Have you been in some form of altercation? Are you in need of medical assistance?

[thunderfists]

Science equipment, huh? [There was something distinctly ... scientific about this guy's mannerisms. Analytical.] Well, my clothes were with me when I woke up, but my other gear is still missing.

[But he waves off Spock's offer of medical assistance. The motion reveals some impressive scars on his chest and biceps.] This is nothing, but thanks. I'm Akihiko Sanada.

[spohkh]

[Notices the scars but decides to let the subject drop.]

[eyebrow raise] Indeed. May I inquire in to what manner you appeared here in Luceti? I find myself curious, as my appearance was rather undignified. Then may I suggest we search for our belongings? Perhaps they were scattered.

[thunderfists]

I get the feeling dignity's not much of a commodity here. [He frowns, but ultimately ends up shrugging off the search for a protein drink in favor of concentrating on Spock.]

I woke up in a pair of white pants, out in the forest. My clothes were folded and left with me. Haven't looked around the village much yet, so I'm game if you want to search. [...] Any science equipment in here?

[Never mind it's obviously a grocery store and little else.]

[spohkh]

This is most fortuitous as I also appeared in the forest. I suggest we start there, and perhaps if we broaden our search we may come up with satisfactory results.

[Spock briskly heads for the exit and out the door complete expectation that Mr. Sanada will follow of course.]

[thunderfists]

...Sure, that should work. [He didn't recall seeing anything else around with him, but he had been thrown off by the sudden environment change to really think about searching for his knife and evoker.] So what kind of science equipment are you looking for, exactly?

[spohkh]

[walking briskly towards the forest]
It would be unfavourable for anyone to find the equipment I had previous to entering this world. I was carrying with me a tricorder, scanner, PADD and a Starfleet issued phaser, which is a directed energy weapon that would cause adverse results if someone utilized it without prior knowledge of how to operate such a device.
I am curious though, what is an evoker?

[thunderfists]

[The quick listing of equipment is hard to keep up with, but Akihiko manages by keeping silent so he can try to make sense of the items being described. Unfortunately, the question asked takes him by surprise.]

Evoker? [Did he say it aloud without realizing it?]

[spohkh]

[Spock stops suddenly, a look of mild surprise on his face.]
I apologise, in combination with the confusion I have experienced today and haste, my hand accidentally came into contact with you while we were walking. You were projecting rather loudly... This is an unforgivable lapse, I ask for your forgiveness.

[A/N... dammit... this is why we practice. :p]

[thunderfists]

[ooc: lmao, it's all right! definitely good to practice!]

That's-- [The confusion lingers, and he blinks a moment longer before shaking his head. Whatever had happened, Spock was quite apologetic about it.] Let's start that over again. What just happened?

[emp3thy]

[Minato is only half paying attention at the grocery store. He has his headphones on, and he pretty much knows where everything he needs is by this point. So, when he reaches the case where different drinks are stored, he nearly runs into the guy covered in a red cloak.]

--Sorry. After you.

[thunderfists]

[Akihiko's a little busy browsing, so he doesn't give much thought to the person next to him beyond a word of gratitude.]

Thanks.

[He then proceeds to take one of the plastic bottles from the shelf, grasping it triumphantly. Oh, how he's missed these convenient little bottles of concentrated goodness.]

Finally. Protein.

[emp3thy]

[Oh, so he was after protein drinks. Funny, the way he said it sounded exactly like -

Minato does a double take.] Senpai?

[thunderfists]

[Akihiko turns his head at the voice, his hood slipping a little and revealing his rugged, bandaged face.

Now it's his turn to do a double take.] Minato?

[emp3thy]

[This clearly is Akihiko. He looks older, more roughed-up, and shirtless despite not being in New Feather pants... but it's him.

There's only one thing to say in a reunion like this.] What are you wearing?

[thunderfists]

[You know, this would be a great time to ask some really incredulous questions. Like, how could Minato be here? Was he alive? Did he actually look older?

...But. This is Akihiko.]

Clothes. They're clothes. For traveling.

[emp3thy]

...To what?

[A cosplay convention?]

[thunderfists]

I was traveling abroad. South America, before I headed back to Japan. [He shrugs, opening up the protein drink with a few clicks of the cap.] Much easier to fight this way.

[He takes a quick swig of the drink. The protein liquid goes down nice and smooth.] You know, you've got some explaining to do, too.

[emp3thy]

[He smiles... just slightly. He may be older but he's the same old Akihiko. Also, he's pretty sure no one wears things like that in South America.]

I guess so. What do you want first?

[thunderfists]

[He's tempted to lean against the shelf, but knows he's asking for an accident in the middle of the store. So he at least backs up against one of the walls, flinching slightly as his back aches.]

I'd ask for the whole spiel, but I doubt that's your style. [There's a hint of a smirk.] Let's start with ... you.

[emp3thy]

[He shrugs.]

I came here the same way you did. Which is... we don't know.

[thunderfists]

[He takes another swig of his protein drink.]

Okay then. Next question: Do I have to pay for this?
