Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Oh, so he was after protein drinks. Funny, the way he said it sounded exactly like -

Minato does a double take.] Senpai?

[Akihiko turns his head at the voice, his hood slipping a little and revealing his rugged, bandaged face.

Now it's his turn to do a double take.] Minato?

[This clearly is Akihiko. He looks older, more roughed-up, and shirtless despite not being in New Feather pants... but it's him.

There's only one thing to say in a reunion like this.] What are you wearing?

[You know, this would be a great time to ask some really incredulous questions. Like, how could Minato be here? Was he alive? Did he actually look older?

...But. This is Akihiko.]

Clothes. They're clothes. For traveling.

...To what?

[A cosplay convention?]

I was traveling abroad. South America, before I headed back to Japan. [He shrugs, opening up the protein drink with a few clicks of the cap.] Much easier to fight this way.

[He takes a quick swig of the drink. The protein liquid goes down nice and smooth.] You know, you've got some explaining to do, too.

[He smiles... just slightly. He may be older but he's the same old Akihiko. Also, he's pretty sure no one wears things like that in South America.]

I guess so. What do you want first?

[He's tempted to lean against the shelf, but knows he's asking for an accident in the middle of the store. So he at least backs up against one of the walls, flinching slightly as his back aches.]

I'd ask for the whole spiel, but I doubt that's your style. [There's a hint of a smirk.] Let's start with ... you.

[He shrugs.]

I came here the same way you did. Which is... we don't know.

[He takes another swig of his protein drink.]

Okay then. Next question: Do I have to pay for this?

[....Think of that before you drink it Akihiko.]

No.

Good. [Hey, a guy can never be too sure. He's used to paying or trading for the good stuff, both at home and abroad.]

Last time I saw you was in the abyss, a few years ago. Guarding ... that door. But now you're here. [He's not even mentioning graduation day.] You definitely look better than back then.

You saw?

[Yet another surprise. ~~Not quite as big as the clothing.~~] What 'Abyss'?

[...Huh. So he wasn't aware of them being there? But time was a weird thing to mess with, and that abyss even more so.]

After you-- [he makes a motion with his hand] --passed away, we had ... trouble. Moving on. Understanding what happened. Letting go that things had changed. So that abyss took over the dorms. I don't completely understand it, but it was something we all needed to experience. That's where we saw you.

You saw the Seal. [Somehow. The details of that didn't really matter. What did was "understanding what happened." He'd already known about that confusion - Mitsuru, Junpei, and Fuuka... none of them had known about the Seal yet when they'd come to Luceti.

He nods.] I would have told you all, but... well.

[It was hard. They'd all been happy, that last week. He could have tried and written it down... but his own memory was hazy until he was already weak, and then - there was the possibility they wouldn't ever remember. Writing anything then would cause more confusion. There was also the matter that he hadn't known all the physical details himself.] You made it out of trouble?

[Akihiko quirks his unbandaged brow at the question, tilting his head back as he finishes off his protein drink. His eyes are as calm and knowing as always.]

Was there any doubt?

Not really.

[Although... Akihiko was never the one he was concerned about, and it probably shows.]

[He would have to leave out mention of the trials they had gone through in there; somehow, he didn't feel it was his place to talk about what they had been forced to do for their own desires within the abyss.

He nods once at his former kohai, capping the plastic bottle before reaching for another one on the shelf.] Another for the road. [That's all the explanation he has to give.]

We're all doing better now. I'm a little out of touch with the others, but I know Mitsuru still calls them up.

[aki what would shinji say if he could see you....]

That sounds like her. It's good to hear.

[He'd probably roll his eyes, all things considered...]

How about you? You were never exactly idle yourself.

[...well...]

I've been in this village for three years.

That would explain why you look older. [He sounds amiable about this--pleased, even.] You keeping in shape?

[Because this is important to him.]

So do you. How long's it been? [he'll be happy too if he's not actually older than you....]

I've been training.

[Not to Akihiko standards. But that is going unsaid.]

[He sounds a bit nostalgic.] Two years now. High school seems far off.

[Despite the nostalgia, he's quick to smile in a challenging way.] We should spar sometime.

[....Oh, senpai. You can't use that smile while you're dressed like a wild man.]
