[There aren't many paintings District 11. The sketches in the worn textbooks in school, crude drawings in the ground, those are the things Rue sees. Paintings are for richer people, for Capitol citizens.

It's a strange thing seeing a painting of yourself. They're beautiful paintings. She reaches out to touch it, but stops, afraid to damage it or ruin the moment captured in paint.

[Hello journal. Ginia's still not sure what to think about it. On one hand, it's a network brimming with information and village gossip, a compact source of education and entertainment a like. Far more entertaining than any social media site.
