Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[As much as Suki wanted to believe what she's been told about this place, she had a hard time taking it all in. Not only was she in this new world that was full of wings, but she'd been there before? There could be people here she didn't know at all, but they knew her. That was what was bothering her the most. Sure, she wasn't happy about being taken from home, but somehow telling people she didn't know them bothered her more.

Needing some fresh air, Suki ended up just wandering around the village, half to get to know this new place, and half to just let it all sink in. There was this whole life she apparently lived, and she had no memory of it whatsoever.]

[Fresh air? How about a fresh Airbender incoming? He stops just short of her atop his air scooter. Sure, since her arrival he's felt lots of conflicting feelings - concern that's she stuck in Luceti again, hurt that she doesn't remember their previous times together there and worry about the effect it has on Sokka. But for Suki's sake, he's focusing on the strongest emotion: that he's glad to see her again.]

[One thing Aang is great at is just making other's smile, and he certainly made her smile. It wasn't as bright as she would've liked it, but it was all she could do right now.]

Well maybe that's one of the reasons, but not all of them. I felt like stopping at the bakery first. [He holds out some cookies.]

There's a bakery here too? [What doesn't this place have? And because talking about something that isn't about her and how she's been here before is an awesome topic:] What else is here anyway?

Yep. Take as many cookies as you want! And... let's see, there's loads of places around here. There's a few restaurants, a clinic, you've already seen most of the shops and the smithy, I showed you the Welcome Center where Katara and me have been working... one of my friends made a farm recently, plus there's a library and a tea shop and a flower shop, and there's the Battle Dome, too.

Only some are for me. I always make sure to get extra.

Oh, the Battle Dome... it's some really weird place. You can go there to train, and it makes fake rooms that can look like anything and you can fight fake enemies there or you can make no enemies at all.

Hm. Maybe I should check that out. A place to train sounds really nice. [A good way to just release some of her frustrations.]

[ Ikki, for her part, had missed the last Suki - nor had she actually heard about her all that much, except for the vague knowledge that her current room used to belong to Suki and now belonged to Ikki. Suki is another of the people from her long-ago past, and she knows about the woman through stories, and she's already been gag-ordered by pretty much everyone, although not quite in time to save them from...everything else.

She's already dealt with knowing people she never got to know, or knowing them before she got to know them - mostly by being thrilled to spend time with the family that had died before she'd been born, or to get to know Katara, who was but was not quite GranGran.

Suki gets exactly the same treatment. She's family by virtue of (presumably) living in the same house and being a figure in childhood tales, and Ikki zeroes in on her when she notices Suki walking around, stopping her own errand to run over, Soren flying after her. ]

Aunt Suki!! What are you doing? Are you running errands? I'm picking up some fruits and things! Do you like fruit? I love fruit! [ As usual, she jumps right into conversation without a breath for air. ]

[The young airbender certainly surprised Suki. And the questions only threw her off more. But, Ikki did make Suki smile. Despite talking a mile a minute, Suki was happy to talk about something other than her being here before.]

I was just taking a walk, but if you want, I can go get some fruit with you. [It was something to do after all. And besides, Suki wouldn't mind hearing about Ikki's life.]

[breezing]

Oh! Were you going somewhere? I love taking walks, that's how I learned where everything is - I know shortcuts to places, too! [ yes she does refer to her habit of going over and through people's yards why do you ask ]

That'd be great, though!! Then we could carry more back home, right?

No. Not really going anywhere. Just, walking. [She wasn't about to lay ll her problems out to a young girl, so she wasn't going to mention the fact that she was out to get away from everything at "home".]

Yeah. Let's head to the store. I haven't been to it yet anyway.

[breezing]

Oh, it's great! There's chocolate and soda, but we only get those at special times! ...Well, I only get them at special times. Uncle Sokka and Aunt Toph drink a lot of soda, but I'm supposed to drink juice more often. And only one or two sweets a day.

[ man, she sounds so jealous right there. They get all the chocolate they want Suki, and so do you. How is your life anything less than amazing. ]

[Chocolate she knows, but the other thing? Not so much.] What's soda?

[And yeah, she can understand why they limit her on those things.] But, if you had them all the time, they wouldn't be special anymore. Isn't it more fun to have them be a treat? You don't want to get sick and tired of them, do you?

[breezing]

[ oh my god what was everyone else thinking, being all dramatic about Suki being here and telling her about Luceti and somehow forgetting the most basic of basics. Ikki's entire face lights up even more, because she loves getting to do this part, the part where you teach someone about the bubbly wonders of soda that is sweet. ] Oh! Oh, you don't know this is great okay today is going to be THE BEST DAY of your entire life Aunt Suki!!!

[ They're totally going to go into the store even faster now, but Ikki takes Suki's hand and leads her to a different section, bypassing the fruit entirely, because nope. ] I don't, but I don't think I could ever get tired of them!

[Well, this was an interesting turn of events. Not that Suki cared. It was really nice. Plus, having the best day ever after hearing everything she found out today would be great. She even chuckled.] Hopefully I can handle it.

Maybe we can even get something sweet. [Nothing TOO sweet, because Suki isn't really sure she can handle that hyper of an Ikki, but the girl deserves something for making Suki smile.]

[And yet Sokka couldn't be happier to have her back. He had been looking for her, so when he spotted her, he ran up to her in quite the rush, with two orange cans in his hands.]

Here they are, Suki! Now, you sounded skeptical when I described them to you, but you'll see how right I was soon.

[Okay. Despite the awkwardnss, Suki just smiled. Even though she felt kinda weird around him right now, seeing him run up to her with that smile made her really happy.]

There's really a drink in those things?

[Smirking, Sokka handed one for her to take.]

You're not going to pull an elephant rat out it, are you?

[He lifts the tab.

And moments later his hand is covered in orange soda. Running with soda cans? Bad idea.]

Gaah! Not again! [Lacking grace or tact he desperately starts trying to sip it off the top of the can and sides of his hand. Oh what a mess.]

[She watches the soda spill all over his hand and all she can do is laugh. Her free hand quickly goes to cover her mouth as she tries to hide how hard she's laughing.]

What is that? [SO not opening her's now.]

It's. Soda. It's not supposed to do this.

[After he gets it under control, he switches hands and stares in dismay at his now sticky hand.]
