Test Flight!
Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

if anything, it was a nice distraction from the need to put one foot in front of the other. Glancing down, he started when he felt watched and looked back up just to see if he was... being somehow needed?]

I thought that was you. Mornin, Woods! Stretching our legs, are we?
no subject
If by ours you mean mine then, yes.
[Dammit, he really couldn't push himself harder and leave Simon in the dust, even if he'd been a runner, himself.]
Thought you looked like a school bus.

Simon, of all people to be accused of being gloomy, you are the absolute last. Annoying, the absolute first. But company, sure-- you'll do.
[There was an urge to hug Simon-- a friend was a friend no matter how far and in between their meets were. And he would happily inform him of the lack of Zom infestation here]
no subject
Thanks. I do try my best. [He flashed Eugene a wide grin and a quick wink as he slowed his pace just a bit all the same.] So where's Jackie-boy this morning? Having a lazy one?
no subject
Instead, he schooled his features into something distant, far off and possibly longing.]
He... well, I... dunno.
[Which wasn't a lie, but he was going to pull this as far as he could]

[Oh, touche, Caught in his own game, he played off the shock-frustration into something almost believable, grief and anger-- but his conscience got the better of him and he wasn't one to tempt fate. Not anymore.]
He's not here, I honestly don't know if he's in the battle dome doing training or derping around back home. Why?
[Because he could be and was suspicious... more prickly than necessary]
no subject
Well. Maybe Jack. But he was biased.]
Just curious. So, what made you try for the wild outdoors rather than in the Dome? And here I took you for the treadmill sort. ...They have those here, right?
no subject
[Infamous now for it, he might as well play along or with the idea instead of letting it get to him. Plus, the obvious answer was to say he was training back up to his pre-Abel days, when he had two legs, two feet, and more adrenaline than he knew what to do with]
I'm Canadian, I like the outdoors. I come here to communicate with my moose brethren.
no subject
[He's teasing because he can. And it's not like Simon ever hesitates in making a spectacle of himself.]
Ahh, the moosen in the woodsen. Do we actually... have those here? Because I'm going to start running with my bat if we do. Those things are huge.
no subject
[His grin widened when Simon went on about Moosen in the Woodsen... they didn't call him Eugene Woods for nothing.]
...Actually, yes. Betsy stays outside my house, she's pretty harmless unless you make an ass of yourself. Consider yourself warned, Lauchlan.
[But okay, now he has to stop and double over a little, hands on his thighs while he took deep breaths. Not everyone was going to be in stellar shape]
