Test Flight!
Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Unfortunately, he couldn't help but think over all of the scientific details that he saw.]
It's impressive. Even after we account for the divergences in reality that follow the temporal distortion that brought us to this world, some things have remained the same. The sky is still blue, and the water is still cold.

[...it sounded like a lot of science fiction strung together. He was okay with this.]
Why would it be any different?
no subject
It depends on the relative balance between the Light and Shadow Craymels of the world we're speaking about. [He paused, briefly.] Although, you would know them as 'spirits' or 'magic', wouldn't you?
no subject
[Could Persona have an influence outside of their humans? He doubted it, but then again, they had only ever even tried to summon them in the television world. Who knew what they would be capable of in the real world?]

[Just, you know... don't shake hands with any crazy gas station attendants, and you'd never know anything was weird about it. But there was one thing...]
What do you mean by Shadow?
[Singular? He wasn't used to that.]
no subject
[He hasn't read that much on Earth's history yet. He's been more fascinated by the various forms of 'magic'.]
Shadow is one of the Greater Craymels-- summoning spirits, I think you'd call them-- between Inferia and Celestia. He's also the governing Craymel of Celestia, and the Craymels of Ice, Electricity, and Earth are under his dominion.
...
Craymelology isn't an easy subject for the layman. I can't explain many of these topics very well without teaching you some of the fundamental concepts first.
no subject
Actually, I think I have a better idea from that description.
[He wondered if they worked the same... probably not, but it would be interesting to know if there were other worlds out there that also had Persona-like creatures.]
no subject
[He was genuinely curious, although his interest was mostly academic at this point. Barring another world that had access to greater spirits, which he knew a few others were, he didn't understand why the stranger would say that.]
no subject
Yeah... sort of. On my world, there's another world within television screens. We're able to summon creatures in that other world.
[Well, there was more to it than that.]
no subject
Now we've switched positions. I have no idea what a television is.

no subject
[Because, clearly, the ability to travel inside an entertainment device is more facinating to him than any summons.]
no subject
[At least... he's pretty sure that was the reason; no one else, unless they had shaken Izanami's hand and had their Persona awakened that way, had been able to touch the televisions in Inaba and enter the TV world. It was the only common link.]
Personae are parts of our souls that we are able to call out to protect ourselves.
no subject
[The Greater Craymels were actually the minority. Any Craymelology student could access the Lesser Craymels, but that was all academic in nature.]
But these Personae sound quite interesting. Is it a universal skill, or is it limited to only a few people?
no subject
[Not everyone could accept themselves; Kubo couldn't, and his Shadow disappeared, never to become a Personae.]
no subject
[He pursed his lips in thought as he considered the explanation further.]
Handling these Personae sounds almost religious in some ways, in the sense of the religions that focus on bettering yourself and don't follow a single god.
[He'd be charged for sedition yet again if he were in Inferia for just speaking those words.]
no subject
[And let us not forget the death goddess. Ever.]
no subject
Is there any specific pattern to the religious and mythical figures? Or are they completely incidental?
no subject
My friends and I started with Personae from… the mythology of the continent we're from. The rest of mine are from all over the world.
