Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Nel turned as she heard her name called out, hand going to the daggers at her side before she saw the familiar blue hair. And the reading glasses and book.

She pulls her muffler down to show a huge smile on her face as she changes direction and goes to meet up with her friend.]

I didn't expect to see you again, Fayt. Are you well?

[Fayt pulls off his glasses, grinning a bit as he makes his way over. While he definitely wouldn't wish for people he knew to get trapped here, he had to admit it was nice to see a familiar face.

He takes note of the comment about not seeing him again. What time was she from...?] Pretty good, I guess. You? It's great to see you again.

[She crosses her arms under her breasts and cocks her hip to the side as he comes closer.]

I'm fine, I suppose. This is certainly not the castle in Aquios. I'm sure Clair will be upset when she realizes that I've gone missing without telling her.

[etherealblast]

[He shrugs. At this point, he'd gotten used to the oddity of this place.] From what I've heard, people don't realize we're gone at all.

[Which made sense. Fayt knew Cliff was from an earlier point in time than him, but no one had noticed that.] Has anyone given you details about this place?

[crimsonblade]

[She cocked her head to the side and just looked at Fayt for a minute.] How is that possible?

[He grins a little wryly.] This place is pretty strange. We leave our world at one point in time and return right back to it at the same moment whenever we leave here. Cliff's here too, from an earlier point in time than I am. But I never noticed him going missing.

[A bit confusing, maybe, but it was the truth.]

I can answer any questions you have, I've been here with Cliff about 5 months now.

It sounds impossible. Surely we would have been missed from our home worlds if we were just gone. What you've said sounds like...magic.

After I've found a safe place to stay, I'll find you and Cliff.

[etherealblast]

It sounds impossible, but as far as we know it's the truth. [He shrugs.]


There are open apartments at the building we're staying in, if you want to stick close. [Sticking close was probably a good idea, in this place.]

That sounds reasonable for the time being. [She gave the teen a brief smile.] I can assume that you have been doing all of the cooking for the both of you since you're still alive?

[etherealblast]

Do you even have to ask? [That smile is matched on his own face with a grin.] I'd rather not risk the food poisoning.

How many times have you come close since your arrival? [She may be teasing, but they both know that letting the blond cook was a good way to get MP death or a wicked case of food poisoning.]

I've been making sure to avoid giving Cliff reasons to try. [Either by cooking before Cliff got the chance to, or making a suggestion that they eat out first.]

[crimsonblade]

Good idea. He should stick to Smithing and Engineering, really. [She takes a good look at him for a moment.] What have you two been doing in the five months you've been here?

[etherealblast]

Mostly? Whatever we can find to do.

Cliff's been taking apart every microwave in the building we're living in. [Fayt gives a wry grin at that. Right, Nel wouldn't--] It's a cooking device like a stove, sort of.

[crimsonblade]

It would be worthwhile to see a cooking device that Cliff finds so interesting that he has to take it apart. But I'm glad that you both haven't been too bored here. Cliff doesn't seem the type to be able to sit still for very long.

[etherealblast]

They're a pretty poor piece of technology for the job they're designed to do. He's trying to improve them. [And driving their neighbors nuts by stealing them to do it, but....]

I haven't been as successful as he's managed to be in keeping busy, but I've got my own things to do too.

Hm. I am still interested in seeing them. I've never heard of my-kro-waves before. [Yep, sure was pronounced just like that, yes?]

[That... draws a small, very small, smile from Fayt. He doesn't bother correcting her outright, but he does say the word correctly himself.] I suppose microwaves could be pretty interesting, just don't stick anything metal in them. Things tend to catch fire if you do.

[Preempting any possible accidents? Hopefully.]

Then I suppose I will just have to have you show me how to use one that Cliff hasn't taken apart yet so that I know what I'm doing. [She got the feeling that this piece of technology would be beyond the Thunder Arrow that Fayt and Cliff helped perfect, but she was now completely interested in learning how to use it.]
