Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Garp was gone. There was a rake spinning in the air before hitting the ground with a clatter, just as Garp found himself standing next to Marco with his arms crossed and a deadpanned expression.

Politely, he asked--]

Ah. And, what is a phoenix?

[And then he slowly turned his head to stare right at Marco.]

[A vein throbbed in his temple, mid-nap. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU AREN'T JOINING THE MARINES, FUTURE ADOPTED GRANDSON!?

Garp snapped awake, swinging the handle of the rake right for the side of Smoker's head, realizing what was going on only after his piles were dismembered and he had to do it all over again.]

[Ignoring the nightmarish flash of the various times Ace threatened to lick or eat parts of him in the past; Marco coughed and glanced to the side.]

Shows up at the turning of eras. [Okay, well, at least that is true. And sad. Meh. Screw you Garp. Look what you made Marco do! YOU SCARED HIM INTO HONESTY! This is a travesty. Truly.]

[He gets back up, dusts off his jeans, and stomps back to Garp, kicking more leaves along the way.]

That's not where you should put leaf piles! [So there!]

[Don't mind the guy staring at the leaf-raking man from a corner. Why do Marines have such weird hobbies? Though leaf-raking is probably better than piling up rocks.

Warily -for many reasons that go from being bffs with a Marine and brother of a pirate and wearing said pirate's tattoo on his shoulder-, Ikki approaches the man. To see him apparently asleep.]

[Regarding Marco, Garp found himself suddenly laughing hysterically. Out of all things in the world, he liked learning new and weird things. A bird as a symbol of progress and advancement? It was a wonder why Marines liked seagulls and not phoenixes.]

Bwahaha!? Is that so!? That makes you sound really cool?

Heheh. So, doesn't that mean you should lighten up a bit!? [Garp reared back and then slapped Marco's back a bit brutishly, with little regard for anyone's health at all.]

If you're that cool a thing, maybe you ought to take it easy!

Ah!? [There were more leaves being ruined! His good deed for the obscure, random old lady he met had been going to waste! Though, it was certainly destined to be a failure when he fell asleep on the job a few dozen times.]

You stop that! [Garp waved the rake, which was now a solid black color for some reason.]

That old lady's gonna be pissed!

[Garp woke up, yawned loudly into his open hand and then turned on his heel and punched a hole through the old lady's house--the house of the old lady he was supposed to help fix up by clearing out the old, dry leaves from the front yard.]

Ah? [Standing there and removing his hand, Garp stuck his piny finger into his nose with some pause. He stared at Ikki.]

...Who is it?

[He's not being chewed on, he's not being punched in the face, and Garp is acting like..........]

[This is weird. Marco legit. can't deal.]

[The back-slapping continued. Garp slung an arm around Marco suddenly and laughed hysterically. Whatever was so damned funny wasn't letting up anytime soon. He had to raise his head to try and relax.]

Fiery?! Bwahahaha! Jeez, relax!

[That grip became suddenly very intense.]

Besides, it's not like you've got somethin' to hide!

[You know. Part of Marco isn't sure if he should be insulted the Garp doesn't recognize him or not.]

[In any case that arm is way too close for comfort.]

[There isn't a shower made yet that can get rid of the marine cooties he'll have from this.]

The old lady I'm helping! I said I'd apologize for crushing her garden during my workout by raking her front yard!

[Garp crossed his arms, not gesturing to the giant crater 20 feet behind him--which was where a lot of the leaves were going.]

[Garp scarcely happened to notice. He looked from Ikki back towards the giant hole in the poor old lady's house.]

...Hey, did you wreck this house?

[Stares at.]

[You know, normally he'd be all for helping out, but you're on your own here.]

This is why I do my training over by the barracks. And most people use the Battledome.

Battledome!? That sounds really awesome!

[Also hypothetically it can even withstand Son Goku and Vegeta, so hypothetically it should be safe from Garp. In theory anyway.]

[Garp didn't know that symbol, so he didn't even think twice about it. In his age, Whitebeard wasn't even a captain on his own, yet. Garp leaned back and let go out Marco with a measure of amusement in his voice.]

Ahhhh? Oi, oi. Why're you nervous? Your hair's standin' on end.
