Player Name: Melon
Are you new?: No
Character Name: Elsa
Character Fandom: Frozen
[A]; Action
[Elsa has taken a little trip to the North of town well passed the houses and near the river. It's started to snow but aside from a cape, she has little need to hide from it. If anyone is used to cold weather, it's her.
She had considered going deeper into the woods but found herself hesitant. The woods here might hold more dangers than packs of wolves and while she was sure she could defend herself, it seemed more prudent to avoid them for right now. At least until she knew the extent of her power loss. Her fear had gotten the best of her when she first arrived and frosted a few trees where she woke up at the forest's edge but it hadn't done much more.
She leaned down once she reached the river's edge. Closing her eyes and sighing out a breath first to steady herself, she reached down to gently lay a finger against the water. Her finger never ended up touching it, ice springing to life and coating a section of the river in a matter of seconds.
The blonde smiled faintly at that.]
At least that much still works.
[...Should she be happy for that discovery?]
----------
[B]; Voice/Video
[There is little sound for a moment aside from the mild rustling and small sounds of movement. Then the sound of one clearing their throat rises.]
... Hello?
[There comes a soft, slightly awkward breath of a laugh.]
I'm not sure I'll ever get used to chatting with a book like this.
[More silence. In the next few moments comes the sudden blinking on of video and a curious expression on the face of a pale woman, the very faint smattering of freckles only barely visible from this close. She freezes once she notes the video, looking all the world like someone caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
And then she backs up quickly, having been almost right up against the journal itself.]
My apologies, I didn't realize... this really is a versatile little thing, isn't it.

[C]; Open Action Prompt
[OOC: Basically if there's something you want to try out, feel free.]

hope you don't mind (WARNING FOR SPOILERS PROBABLY???)
So where was everyone? She'd been expecting crowds, the buzzing royals and businessmen, the sounds of a busy town anxious to see their new queen. This place was way too quiet. Not to mention the snow everywhere. Snow did not happen in summer. No way.
After some unsuccessful tripping through the underbrush, the redhead's steps take her to the river - or, rather, into the river. With a squawk she adjusts her balance, reaching out to steady herself against a nearby tree and pull her leg out of the rushing water.
A gentle cracking sound echoing off the surroundings gets her to tense up, hesitant to look at the branch she was gripping... until she realized the sound was spreading, not in front of her, but off along the banks. It was the crackling of ice, inching across the edge of the water. At its thickest point stood a young woman who Anna almost didn't recognize. Not until she started to straighten up did the redhead's eyes widen.]
O-oh gosh... Elsa? Elsa, hey, is that you??
I'm going with A and don't mind spoilers!
That's a very special gift you have. Not many people can do that where I'm from.
of course not
Anna?
[Elsa turned her gaze again to the ice creeping out across the river. And then her eyes turned back to Anna once more, wider this time. She was unsurprised by just how visceral the feeling of fear at being caught using her magic was, even if she was sure Anna knew all about it by now. Years of conditioning were hard to fight and even now she froze in place as much as the water itself had at her touch.
She took a quick breath in. The earth froze hard under her heels and she reigned in the bout of fear quickly before it did more. She held out her one gloved hand, slipping her other glove on in the next moment.]
Just stay there, I'll come to you.
[And with that the woman lightly picks up her skirt, footing it across the water she had just frozen and feeling it harden further under her footfalls. Anna had managed to tumble out of the woods on the opposite bank of the river.]
no subject
I'm sorry.
[The apology was quick. In the next moment she drew her hand from the water, rising up from her kneeling position after briefly and carefully brushing off her skirt with her still gloved hand. She spoke more to the ground than to him for a brief instant.]
No, what I mean is... forgive me, I wanted to see what I could still do. I heard most lose their magic when they arrive here.
[That said in a rush of breath, her poise seemed to be returning as she stood up straight. At least until she was in the middle of slipping her glove back on and his words settled on her now that the surprise had cleared.]
Others can where you're from?
excellent
[There was way too much risk to go stepping out onto frozen water like that. Besides, it wasn't like Anna was a little girl anymore. She saw that look on Elsa's eyes - one that she'd seen on their mother's face far too much growing up in that dusty old house.
With a grunt she heaves herself off her precarious perch, her feet clumsy against the tree's trunks. It's a wobbly little dance, Anna's arms out and flailing until she can finally right herself.]
W-whoa, whoa, okay, uh... [There, nice and steady. Nobody saw that, alright? She lets out a deep breath, putting a hand on her hip while the other raises high to wave Elsa over.] Hah, see! Nothing to worry about!!
no subject
No need to be sorry. I should be the one apologizing to you, I can see by your face that I startled you. I hope you'll forgive me, I mean you no harm.
[But he does answer her question after that.]
Well there's technically only two. As I said, not many can do it and it's quite surprising to see another who can control the elements.
no subject
Only ice and snow really.
[Her expression turns sheepish around the soft smile that rose on her lips. She gives her head a light shake as she fixes her glove further idly.]
Why don't we simply say we both surprised each other then?
no subject
Elsa comes up beside her sister and pauses there, a gloved hand against her stomach as her shoulders sag and head bows with a sigh.]
Honestly Anna, watch what you're doing.
no subject
[However he's still very curious as to how she has these powers.]
Were you born with your gift? Or obtained it through other means?
no subject
It's something I've always had.
[Her smile brightens though regardless of her faint nerves.]
I suppose it is a gift though.
[Or it is now at least.]
no subject
While I normally don't openly speak about it to others, I have a gift too. Except mine is that I control the element of sound. I hope knowing this can at lease ease the worry and nervousness I can feel surrounding you.
no subject
It's that obvious. I can't say I'm surprised.
[At least he was right about opening up on his own gift would ease her mood though. It isn't that she thinks others can't understand if they don't have such magic but...]
You must be a wonderful singer then.

In time the blonde seems completely relaxed, gloved hands clasped together at waist level and eyes lightly closed.]

The water says it's glad you're feeling better and that your ice is beautiful to stare at. Even if it makes it very cold, though it doesn't mind as it's used to the cold days of winter.
A for At long last
Are you okay, guys? Let me lend you a hand...
[Aang then does some waterbending movements, pulling the frost right off of the trees.]
