02: exploring [He's heard about this "magic" people keep talking about, and he wants it. Just think of how useful it could be! As fanciful as it sounds to him on one level, he can't resist the call of practicality and usefulness, so he sets out to learn this magic for himself.
It's just that he doesn't know where to start. He's not sure exactly what he's looking for, or in which direction he should go. The forest makes a city boy like him uneasy and disoriented, and it doesn't take him long to get completely lost. He's not too worried, though. He figures he can use his 3DMG to get up above the treeline and see the way back. No, he's not giving up that easily.
He's been told that animals talk, and even though he feels completely silly, clears his throat and addresses a squirrel.]
