She likes to think herself quite open to such landmark innovations, but that doesn't mean she won't get slightly frustrated trying to operate one.

Would someone be willing to show me the ways of the washer? I'm afraid I'm not having much luck with it, and I'd rather get things figured out properly before we come to blows. I'd be most appreciative of any kind of help you can lend.

It's your lucky day. I've spent more of my adult life than I care to admit in close proximity to a washer. A dryer too.
