Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[ Rapunzel squeaks when Lee suddenly bursts into the bakery. She very nearly loses her balance, too - but! She manages to stay perched on the chair stack by leaning against the cabinet. The benefits of wearing no shoes!!

That was challenging enough, but perhaps he had something else to challenge her with today?? ]

I'm glad you remember her.

[ His voice was warm but wistful. It had been four years since he had sat vigil over his mother's body on Kavan; two years since that rare chance to see her in the Lake of Apparitions. He shook his head slightly and dispelled those thoughts; this Luke had decades with Mara, and Ben wouldn't cast a shadow over that by revealing things that would happen twenty years from now. He'd move this conversation along before he could get bogged down in melancholy memories. ]

So you're... wow, about thirty?

[ That seemed like a good range, based on Ben's gauge of this Luke's appearance and what he remembered about Crix Madine's death having something to do with Hutts. Ben gave a low whistle. ]

Stang, that's younger than Jaina.

[ He groaned, audibly, and extended his Force senses in an attempt to find this barrier. ]

Alright. So... you guys have been here for a while. What have you tried doing to get home? Knocking out the barrier? Finding a weak point?

[ He reached back to touch the wings again. The feathery things seemed a lot more dangerous than they had a moment before. He knew how to fight without them, but he had no idea how to make it through melee combat without getting them cut, shot at, or blasted off. ]

Maybe I can trade them in for Threepio.

[ Ben leapt down from the tree, thrown off-balance by the unfamiliar wings, but using the Force to compensate and keep himself upright. He offered the older man a small, self-conscious smile, because he didn't think that there was a not-awkward way to introduce himself to the man he was named for, especially when there was a chance that the man wouldn't remember using the name at all. ]

[ He shot a quick glance in his father's direction, then back at his namesake. ]

[He snorts and swallows his shot. It's too early in the day to deal with someone's false cheerfulness as they try to list all the ways why being stuck here isn't the worst thing ever.]

Nah. I think I'd rather hear the story from someone who won't spare any details or try to ease me into anything gently.

The spell has left him weary, mother. Our abilities are halved by the barrier around the enclosure.

[ Thor writes this out for his mother before fetching a glass of water for Loki, complete with a straw. It made sipping at least a little bit simpler. That and a glass for his mother. He hands one to Frigga once she is settled as being lost in the desert must be thirsty work. Loki's he presses into his hand, taking the other to rest upon the plastic of the straw. ]

Walter notes the color of the veins on his hand and peers at the stranger, listening to his explanation. It would mean the brain was decomposing at a different rate from the body. Considering that as one lost their body functions, the water necessary to keep the body functioning would begin to evaporate, it isn't entirely unbelievable that memories would go as the brain died.

Well, okay, she might kind of notice that Ion seems a little taller, but maybe it's a trick of the light? Maybe she's just... disoriented still. He had generally been avoiding her ever since Anise took over as Fon Master Guardian, for reasons she could never comprehend. Still, either way, she'll gladly take his hand, not wanting to let go, when he offers it to her.]

Alright... [She'd go anywhere with him, of course. But, ah-] I don't think I have any money with me, though.

[Even in the midst of her concern, this scene is so bizarrely domestic that for a moment Frigga wonders if the afterlife is simply made of hallucinations and fond hopes. But no, she would not imagine her sons blind and deaf. She does feel a bit overwhelmed, however, and for the first time sinks onto the couch. Somewhat absently, still attempting to process the ease in which her sons are communicating with each other, the evident care of help given and help received, she takes the water from Thor. She is more thirsty than she realizes and she takes a controlled drink.]

How long have you two been in this place? And what manner of place is this?

I have been here... hah. In total, a month shy of two years. [So long already. How things have changed.] It is effectively a prison. We are hemmed in by a spatial discontinuity that I have not yet been able to cross. A barrier. To what end is also still a question for debate.

This is an odd realm. Death is generally an impermanent inconvenience. Time passes differently here than it does in our home universes.

[He waves a hand in the general direction of his bookshelves. Which true to form take up most of the space on the walls and are stuffed to bursting with books and papers, organized in a way that only Loki seems to understand.

The rest of the ground floor, it should be noted, is decorated simply. Natural wood, comfortable furniture, a few plants here and there. The dining table is visible for once; Loki hasn't been able to work in his normal way since losing his sight. Not being able to read one's own notes is very annoying indeed. The kitchen is visible through a doorway and very neat and organized. Perhaps unusually so for someone like Loki. The influence of another person, perhaps. Which might also explain the paperback novel sitting on the coffee table.

Oh, and there's a black cat. She emerges from a door only slightly ajar, opposite the kitchen, and makes her way over to the three people. After brushing by Loki's legs, she pauses to sniff cautiously at Frigga's feet.]

[No, really, you don't want her telling you about Luceti. She is terrible at it. The worst. Way too blunt about absolutely everything and she knows it, so she's trying to do you a favor here.]

Well, I mean that is good to hear I suppose. Zombies aren't particularly interesting to shoot, unless you got a big old horde of them. Just one is sort of like shooting fish in a barrel. Silly fish, swimming in a barrel, that can't be very comfortable ultimately.

[He sighs and has a bit of a chuckle]
