Simon Blackquill - Ace Attorney (Dual Destinies)

A)

[Everything is quiet in Luceti's library today. Which makes sense, considering libraries are meant to be quiet, but in a way the peaceful atmosphere is perfect for lulling people into a calm that runs a bit too deep.

There's one particular table in a secluded little corner, hidden between shelves, where someone has fallen asleep. His slumber is completely silent and at first glance, one might almost mistake him for dead. He's toppled straight forward from his chair, his arms sprawled across the table's surface and his head resting atop them. The corner of a book can be seen poking out from below his elbow, but his face is completely hidden between his arms.

Would you like to wake this guy? ... Are you sure that's wise?]

[Some weirdo is standing outside the village, just before the edge of the forest. Upon first glance, he looks like a pretty normal guy. Upon closer inspection, however, he may give off a bit of a scary vibe. His hair's one big shaggy mane that's been tied back in a ponytail and the bags under his eyes seem to imply he hasn't had a good night's sleep in months- possibly years.

... Well, at least his wrists aren't shackled together. Geez, imagine if that were added to the picture.

He's staring up at the sky, almost as if he's waiting for something. He is waiting for something, actually. Seemingly out of nowhere, a piercing squawk is heard. Simon raises his left arm and a hawk descends towards it, wings spread and talons poised downwards as it prepares for a landing. If those sharp nails dig into Simon's flesh upon impact, he's not showing it. He's too busy petting the hawk with his other hand, a proud smile on his face. Clearly, this guy is a professional.

Awww, how cute, the hawk is wearing a little bandana around its neck. ....Ewww, it's got a dead mouse in its beak.]
