Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[ Kitty can be found at the clothing shop simply looking at any clothes at come off as interesting to her. Occasionally she'll simply pause and stare at a shirt before letting out a sigh. ]

Getting clothes was much easier without wings. [ Despite that, she continues to look at all the clothing. ]

[ On this bright and shiny day, Kitty can be found wandering around Luceti. It wouldn't be an odd sight if she wasn't completely absorbed in a book. Without looking up, Kitty will take to simply phasing through anything that happens to be in her way. Even if that happens to be another person. If she notices that she phased through you, she'll simply mutter something your way. ]

Sorry. [ Though there does seem to be a few instances where she doesn't seem to catch herself in time. ]

[This entire place was as backwards as they came. Ramesh was just in the middle of gawking at a fountain, of all things, and so it was somewhat understandable that he didn't notice the girl coming straight towards him.

By the time he saw her, she had already - had already- ]

What? No, seriously, what was that?

[ huh? That wasn't what she was expecting, after a bit more steps she'll glance up and look back at him. ]

What do you mean?

[At least he's met a Kitty Pride before. So the walking through things part doesn't bother him too much.

Walking through him though.]

Kitty?

[ The fact that he knows her name catches her attention. She pauses and glances up and down at him before replying. ]

Do we know each other?

[Give him a second to study you.]

I've met a version of you? She does the phasing through things, uh, thing.

[puryde]

[ Kitty tenses a bit when he studies her, but hey she gave him the up-down herself. ]

Another version of me? [ a beat ] There are other versions?

There are other worlds. So there must be other versions of people. [He should know, he met a different version of Peter Parker.]

[puryde]

Seriously? [ Well..., that probably wasn't too hard to believe. She was from a world of mutants anyways. ]

Are, uh, are you from other!me's world?

[bitsyspider]

Yeah. I don't know her really well, but we've met a couple of times.

[puryde]

And she can phase through everything too? [ a beat ] So she's also a mutant.

[Kurt just happens to be hanging out in the clothing store, with his holo-watch on, making him look like a normal teenager in exceptionally baggy clothes. He's rifling through a clothing rack and hasn't yet seen the newcomer, but he hears her speak.

Something about the person speaking sounds familiar in some kind of hopeful way, but Kurt can't quite place it. He just goes on casually with his German accent.]

I know, right? There's a lot around that people cut wing-holes in, or you can do it yourself, but sometimes, it's not so stylish. [His own wings, blue as the fur he's concealing, are openly displayed through the back of his shirt.]

[ Kitty catches the full-on German accent when Kurt speaks, it certainly reminded her of something she sort of knew back home. When she turns to Kurt though, she didn't recognize him at all. ]

They definitely make matching clothes harder. [ Pink and purple wings certainly took a few colours out of range. Her eyes drift to his wings. ] At least yours are a nice colour.

Thanks! Nothing like a true blue, huh? But you're right... this place is like a fashion challenge!

[Not that that he's exactly a model of good fashion himself. But he finally turns to face her and almost does a double take. He almost thinks he's looking at Kitty - but something, or a combination of smaller things... they seem so different.]

[ Kitty can't help a crooked half-smile here. ]

You got that right. I mean, did you see what we arrived in? [ She can't help but chuckle a bit. ] Like who wears white dresses like that anymore.

[He blinks a few times to snap himself out of it. Maybe he's just imagining things.]

I dunno. I mean, you never know what fashions can come back in a big way!

Hopefully not in my lifetime. [ White dresses just really weren't her style, even if she wasn't much of a 'fashion' girl. ]

I think I'll stick with jeans and my uniform.

That sounds like the way to go- wait, uniform? [Now he's starting to wonder again. Maybe she could even be some kind of a relative of Kitty's? He has heard about how this place cans sometimes bring in people's kids or grandkids from the future... not to mention that he has a teen mom running around.]

((ooc: idk how you want to run this? Rogue's got the Hair of Distinction, but Kitty may or may not be recognizable? It's up to you!))

[Kitty's not the only one in the shop doing a little bit of browsing that day. Summer is upon us, and that means that Rogue is doing her ever present - Where are the light layers that I can wear without dying? - search.

She is a bit involved in it, and so probably didn't hear Kitty. She is, however, grumbling to herself.]

(ooc: hrm.. Kitty and Rogue trained together in the films so I think that she'd be close enough to make the connection. If that's alright with you. )

[ Rogue's grumbling catches enough of Kitty's attention for her to glance up. She didn't recognize the person right away, but the hair was enough for her to do a double-take. The hair definitely reminded her of someone back home. ]

Having troubles too?

(ooc: I love it! That makes a lot of sense to me.)

[Rogue glances up and notices... nothing particularly reminiscent of her roommate back home.]

It's always the worst when you're comin' in, looking for Just One Thing. They never seem to have it.

[ Kitty almost freezes in shock as the girl speaks. First the hair streak and now the accent. There was really only one person who'd have both. ]

Yeah, I mean, just... Rogue? Is that you? [ She looked different, but it was possible right? ]

[touchofrogue]

[--okay, Rogue hadn't been expecting that. She turns to face the other girl slowly - hair a shade or so redder than Kitty might remember, eyes green, and somewhere in her early twenties - but other than that, it's a similar enough face, similar enough form.]

Ah - yeah. That's me. But I think we've got one of those different universe things goin' on, 'cause I can't say as I recognize you.

[puryde]

[ Kitty scans the girl up in down. She can't deny that it was, well, saddening that it wasn't her Rogue, but on the other hand, at least there was less drama. She hadn't missed the unhappy expressions that Rogue had been shooting her way back home. ]

Well that would explain why you look a bit different. [ gesturing to herself. ] Kitty Pryde.

[touchofrogue]

[Of all the people that Rogue expected up to and including those who knew her from various media forms, this wasn't one of the options she anticipated. Congratulations Kitty, you get to see her poleaxed.]

[But where was the Chicago accent? The predilection to overuse the word 'like?' The ponytail?]
