Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[After years of struggling for money and years of having earned a fortune for herself, it's still strange to Hawke that she doesn't need to worry about paying for things.

In the store, she considers her purchases carefully. The food she buys is fresh -- meat, vegetables, fruit, and water. There are a few bottles of alcohol in her basket, yes, but that's because she's always waiting for Varric and Isabela to show up, and she'll need to entertain them.

At present, she's inspecting bread, shaking her head. Under her breath, she's muttering.]

How am I supposed to check if it's fresh wrapped like this?

[The battle has been fierce.

Hawke has used every spell she knows, calling down fire and ice and even lightning to strike her enemies. When she's had to, she's used the few healing spells her father and Anders taught her over the years to make sure her allies don't die. They're not her forte, but she's managed so far.

Now, there's a moment to breathe. A chance to look around.

And check on the person who's been fighting by her side.

She puts her staff on her back, careful of the gold figure atop it. She tries her best to smile.]

[Did someone left the window open to their home? Because if they did, someone might be slipping in, maybe a little black and yellow rat, Pichu. This one is particularly looking for anything interesting. It can be a toy or a music box. Either way, it looks around the people's belongings curiously. It may even accidentally tip itself into a box. Whoops. When it merges out, it shakes his head. Talk about going head first! That's a doozie.]

Chu!

[If someone's traveling in the forest, they might feel as if being watched. Behind the person is a pink cat-like pokemon floating near. It will move away from fight if the person feels to look back. If the person has a hat, it might just pluck that hat from the head.]

It's frustrating, isn't it?

[Marian will find a very girlish looking man standing next to her, peering at her purchase. He has his own basket, woven from reeds, that has fresh vegetables and fish in it along with a solitary pack of milk.]

I don't see why they have to wrap everything so tightly.

I don't know why it's wrapped at all.

[Bread was sold heaped one on top of the other, hot and crisp, the smell filling the air. Even in Lowtown, that was how it was. Not... like this.

Not bundled and cold.]

[He shrugged slightly and reached out poking the plastic wrap.] Maybe they don't want many hands all over it. There isn't a baker watching his wares here, after all. Not like at the bakery.

They must not be very confident in their wares, then.

[Which has her immediately putting down the loaf. Because... Well. If she can't verify it's fresh, she's not spending her --

Right. No money.

Still strange. Not bad. Just strange.]

I think I'd rather the bakery.

I think it's more that people in the future don't care.

[He wrinkled his nose at the food and stepped back. Bread wasn't something he'd buy anyway. Too Western, too...hard.]

Are you used to different markets?

Open stalls where merchants draw in passerbys.

[She doesn't like Kirkwall. Not really. But compared to here? She misses it. The people, the activity, the danger. Here...

Well, it isn't Kirkwall.]

The smells and the feel.

They're all over Kirkwall. Doesn't matter if you're in Hightown or Lowtown.

[Her combat companion today happens to be a rather tall teenager with snow white hair. He isn't terribly good at using the longsword in his hands (which happens to be ON FIRE when he swings it), but he makes up for it with luck, determination, and an array of what seem to be magical spells, ranging from elemental attack magic like Hawke's, to conjuring weapons and creatures to do his bidding.

(The spells, in reality, are a dark power originating from the souls of defeated demons.)

While his expression during combat had been one of intense concentration, now that they have a breather, it immediately swaps to concern as he lowers his weapon, flames dissipating.]

Yes, thank you. Are you alright?

[Kirkwall, foreign name - weird name.]

Are the towns actually high up and low down?

[Lance often leaves his window open for Altaria to go in and out. Though he certainly wasn't expecting a visitor today.

Coming into his living room, he quickly notices that something is out of sorts. Hearing a rustling in a box he goes over to investigate and finds... a Pichu? What is it doing here? He bends down to get a better look, a kindly smile on his face.]

Hey there little guy. What are you doing in here?

They are, actually.

[She chuckles a little at thinking about it, but it's true.]

It's built in an area with mountains. So Hightown is up, while Lowtown is just after the docks.

Of course, they're also referring to class. Rich live in Hightown, poor in Lowtown.

[It's...

It's welcome to stand with a swordsman. He's not as good as her brother. Or Fenris. But, it's still familiar.

The swords are nothing surprising. Maybe that she didn't call them, but, on their own, she's seen too many weapons augmented by magic. And the use of a blade and magic... She's heard stories of mages who wielded weapons, but she's never seen one in practice.

She laughs. A quiet, almost mocking sound.]

I'm fine.

[Soma's sword skills are as good as someone whose only teacher was survival. There's no technique in his strikes and the fact he doesn't have a sheath for the sword is evidence that he's taken it from someone's dead body in a hurry.

While the tone rubs a part of him the wrong way, he's visibly relieved that she seems fine.]

It's really dangerous out here. You should go back where it's safer.

[Never mind the fact that it's been Hawke's spells keeping him on his feet. Or that she's probably more experienced and trained in the art of combat the he is.]

I want you to think about what you just said.

[She looks at him, bright eyes narrowed. She holds up a gloved hand, and a flame sparks over it, flaring up, whipping out but... stopping at the tips of her fingers, just contained.

Her expression... Well. She's still smirking. It's likely not a comforting look.]

Very carefully.

And if you still think it's smart to say, repeat it.

[One warning. That's all people get.

One "I will kill you if you piss me off" then all bets are off.

She thinks it's fair.]

[Soma isn't easily intimidated; usually he's the one who is (unintentionally) the source of intimidation. But he DOES react to the show of fire with an openly surprised expression that's at odds with his tallness and generally serious demeanor.]

Wh-what? Look, I just don't want to see you get hurt.

[no one said Soma is particularly SMART. ]

Yeah. In case you haven't noticed? I have healing magic.

And. Guess what.

I've been hurt a lot worse than anything these things can do, okay?

[Her eyes are narrowed. Sharp and angry.]

I'd say if either of us should be away from the dangerous, scary things, it's you.

[This Pichu is different when Lance sees the pair of wings on the back. It doesn't seem to bother this little guy one bit. The little Mew looks up hearing the voice of a human. Human... he tries to avoid. He remains calm in his transformation flickering one ear curiously. Long as the human is unaware, all is well, right? The transformed Mew smiles as he tries to climb out of this tall box.]

Pi-Chu!

[Huh... its definitely not every day that you see a Pokemon with wings. That's... definitely interesting.]

Need some help there?

[If the Pichu is willing, Lance will reach in to pull the Pichu out.]

[He opens his mouth to protest her words, meaning to go into a spiel about how being used to worse isn't really a valid reason (in his mind) to continue being actively involved in danger, but her next words give him pause. ]

Wait, what? Why me?

[He's completely off guard right now. As far as he's concerned, he'll be fine.]

It's no more dangerous for me than it is for you.

[And, well. As far as she's concerned. She's stronger, more capable with magic, and less likely to get killed anyway.

Though... Well. She's not used to telling people to stay out of a fight. But this is about making a point.]

But...!

[Soma nearly says, "It's still no place for you," but he thinks better of it; she's proven herself to be a perfectly capable fighter. While it's definitely been a nice change having someone to watch his back, it doesn't mean he likes the idea of Hawke possibly getting badly injured because she insists on staying. It keeps him on edge.

(Is this how Mina feels when I go off?)

Soma relents, but the unhappy frown doesn't leave his face when he tightens his grip on his longsword.]

Alright. But if it gets too dangerous, we're running like the wind, okay?

[If only that was easy... There's a flash of light around the Pichu as it uses Transformation. After a quick flash, an Aipom replaced the once Pichu. As for the wings, it's still there. The little monkey pokemon smiles as it rolls forward and out. Nice having an extra hand as a tail. Aipom touches the ground lifting all hands up to the sky.]

Pom!

[Tada!]

[He's alerted to the presence of another Legendary through some ancient instinct, but he can't tell who exactly it is. Or even where they are, other than "somewhere in the forest, probably". At least that means that it probably isn't Lugia...but if not the great ocean beast, then who? A new arrival?

The clone finds a small clearing and then holds still, scanning the area intensely. Who's there?]

[There was a familiar vibe. He didn't felt the need to hide from this one. When Mewtwo came to a halt, Mew swept from behind and over Mewtwo. Very soon Mewtwo would find himself face with a floating upside-down Mew (with pink wings no doubt). Hello old friend!]
