Scenario A;

[Juggling two distinctly different sets of memories is tricky business. Naturally, waking up to find that he'd retained his three years of Luceti memories has kinda put him in an awkward position. He's got over a year's worth of new memories to juggle. To piece them between his life here, where so much has changed...

But that's not really the weird part. There's something else on his mind, so he's opened up his journal to make it known.]

You know, I've heard of people getting sent back home before, but overnight? It's kind of weird to be gone for a year when only a few hours have passed back here. Weird, and kind of impractical.

Has anyone else had that happen before? Or at least seen or heard of it.

[Even after all his years in Luceti, it still seems bizarre. Then again, it's forced him to dig through the shops to get all his things back. The Malnosso probably got a kick outta that.]

Scenario B;

[People in Luceti may find the sight before them a little boggling. First of all, there's a brightly colored bat fluttering around, chirping and squeaking. But really, that's pretty tame compared to what Riku's doing.

See, he's kind of defying physics the way he's throwing himself at walls and bouncing right off of them, scaling buildings with ease. Spinning off of poles, dashing through the air.

And why all the fancy acrobatics?

Why, he's got his mind set on something. Namely, a trip to the forest, to an old raft he pieced together a long time ago.

But really, what fun would it be if he went out there all on his own? Clearly some distractions are in order.]

[ooc: I know this comm's technically for new characters, but I got mod permission to throw up a post for voice testing purposes, since there's a significant amount of canon to account for. He is post-game, post-secret ending, but if you don't want spoilers, I can roll with it and will mark if they do pop up.]

(Terra normally wouldn't mind too much if he saw Riku bouncing around like that. Not like he was completely unfamiliar with people jumping around and stuff...it's the bat that catches his attention.)

...Unversed? They're here, too?

(And just like that, his Keyblade is out at the ready as he makes chase after them. As far as he knows, that bat creature's chasing down the poor kid. The best answer? Clearly a downward strike after a high jump. Can't take any chances if someone's in danger.)

[Okay, the frantic chirping of his Dream Eater is enough to bring Riku to a screeching halt. His eyes widen, he whips around, and he air dashes in front of the bat, holding up his Keyblade to block.

...this is kind of an awkward way to get reacquainted with Terra, but beggars really can't be choosers at a time like this.]

(Very awkward way, but Terra's not exactly known for being rational. Things would've likely ended better if he thought his actions through.

But hey, this kid pulling out a keyblade to defend this thing? Sadly, it takes a little more priority than recognizing Riku since the bat could still be a threat ~~even though it's not~~.)

What're you doing?! Do you even know what that thing is?

[A very tall 'kid', given that, contrary to his icons, he's in his regular body... But, all that aside, he nods, lowering his Keyblade but not outright dismissing it.]

Of course I do. He's been by my side for a while now.

[Relatively speaking, anyway. His first Dream Eater and only consistent companion throughout his test. Naturally, he's not going to let anyone hurt it. Even if that somebody happens to be Terra.

But he might as well clear the air.]

Look, he's not going to hurt anybody. Dream Eaters feed on dreams, so you've got nothing to worry about.

[Especially since his bat here's a Spirit rather than a Nightmare.]

(Okay there's that, but hey, Terra's still a pretty big guy. Plus, nostalgia kinda makes him imagine him as a kid.)

Dream Eater...?

(Okay fine, Terra backs off a bit, but not entirely. Good to know that it's no Unversed, but it definitely looks like one. Still tense and Keyblade in hand, he eyes the bat questionably before turning back to Riku.)

Can't say I'm ready to trust it...you sure you can handle that thing?

[The bat squeaks and hovers around the two of them before perching on Riku's shoulder.]

Does he really look dangerous to you?

[Riku laughs, giving the bat a few light strokes.]

I mean, unless you're a Nightmare in disguise. In that case, you might want to watch your step.

Most creatures I've seen that looked like that weren't as friendly.

(Which pretty much means yes...but whatever. He dismisses his Keyblade and folds his arms.)

I'm not a Nightmare; I'm just Terra.

Yeah, I had a hunch.

[Another laugh, and he finally dismisses his weapon.]

It's been a while, Terra.

[Well over a year, counting the time he was gone... despite it being less than a day in-- oh, forget it. Time shenanigans are weird.]

It's only been a day, at most.

(Then again, he didn't have that bat yesterday...hmm...)

...got sent home?

For all of five minutes.

[It's an exaggeration, but hey. It gets the point across.]

A year back home, not even a week here. This place has set an all new record.

It definitely has some powerful magic to it.

(Especially considering Terra shouldn't even be here...still, time magic is always headache inducing.)

I'm pretty sure it likes messing with peoples' heads...anything major happen while you were there?

Where do I even start?

[So much has happened in that year that it'd take some time to recount it all. Especially since it's all so complicated, to boot.]

That much, huh?

(He laughs a bit. It's like every second back home was filled with countless events.)

It'd be too much to ask for Xehanort to finally be defeated, wouldn't it?

Afraid so.

[He sighs, shaking his head.]

He's like a cockroach. Try as hard as you might, but you just can't squash him for long.

You'll get him someday. He can't keep coming back forever.

(Even though he's been doing a damn good job of that so far.)

Yeah. Sora and I won't give up until he's gone for good. If that means a few more journeys, then I think we can pull it off.

[Granted, it won't be just them. If they can save the ones sleeping in sadness, then that'll be another ace in their pocket. ...Hopefully.]

Yeah...

(It's something to hope for. He mentioned the 13 darknesses fighting the seven lights...but Terra's not aware of such. As far as he knows, Xehanort's still using his body and his heart is still locked in battle.)

You still have Master Yen Sid helping you?

That's right. He's the one who put me and Sora through the test.

[And even now, he's still a huge authority and an invaluable ally. They'd be lost without his guidance.]

A test, huh...

(Aaaaand on goes the lightbulb.)

...you mean the Mark of Mastery?

[He nods.]

Yeah. He sprung it on us pretty fast, but since Xehanort came back, we didn't have much of a choice.

[Plus, if they're going to save the ones sleeping in sadness, they'll need a Master, which is... where he comes in.]

He tends to catch you off-guard...Xehanort, I mean.

So, uhh...I guess you two passed it?

Well, I did.

[He says that calmly, as a matter of fact. It's not something he'd gloat about. Especially when he did expect Sora to pass.]

It's still hard to believe, though.

(Terra is silent for a moment. He can't help but feel the tiniest bit jealous since he himself never passed the exam. Never got the chance to retake it either, but he doubts he'd be able to pass the second time)

...at least one of you was able to pass. Congrats.
