Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Barnaby settled himself into a booth in the back of Seventh Heaven that afternoon, frustrated from his search through the shops that afternoon. He had spent the afternoon looking for something that had suddenly gone missing that morning, and a part of him suspected foul play. Although he had been in Luceti for a few weeks, he still had his doubts about the place. But, seeing Kotetsu alive and well was enough to give him pause. Suspicious as it was, his partner had never intentionally given him a reason to doubt.

It was why he decided to send a message over the journals once more, despite his hesitations. He kept it brief; there was no reason to say more.]

I recommend a switch to contact lenses. Otherwise, some say that carrots can do wonders for one's eyesight.

The carrots are an old wives' tale to get children to eat more vegetables. Anyone who's paid attention in science class knows this. Although the vitamins are beneficial, there isn't proof that they can help a person whose eyesight is already poor.

Although, perhaps you should follow your own advice. Glasses can be trouble if you haven't adapted to them.

That may be true. But perhaps you just haven't eaten the right ones. After all, with all the worlds represented here, there must be a chance that any of them has such a magical carrot that could end up here.

I assure you that there's no magical carrots in my world. They would have been discovered and studied by now. Perhaps your world is different? After all, your glasses sound like they have a degree of intelligence. It's amazing that they've decided to cooperate with anyone at all.

You'd be surprised at what could elude even the most dedicated of researchers. Also, you seem to be reaching a foolish understanding regarding the nature of my glasses. That is, they can still act quite temperamentally from time to time.

My apologies. My memory must be lacking. [Except for the fact that he always paid attention to the scientific journals as they came out. It was only wise to stay abreast of current information.]

But that's interesting. You must have your glasses quite well tamed. Honestly, it's a difficult task. As you can see, mine have gone astray, although I suspect they were abducted.

It does tend to fade with age.

It's a simple matter of control and attentiveness. If this happened on the battlefield, do you think you'd be dead already?

Actually, no. I trust my senses, capabilities, and the support of my partner. Having my glasses wander off won't be a problem, although it might be for you.

I meant the lenses, and not in monetary terms. [It was clear that this robot didn't understand, but that didn't mean it was completely useless to him.] You're going to help me find another, comparable pair or, failing that, help me make them new.

[It wasn't a suggestion, but an assumption that the robot would follow regardless. The Laws of Robotics surely applied in other worlds.]
