[There's an unusual kind of person in the forest at the moment, trying to make sense of where he is and what he should be doing here. This definitely wasn't the same woodland in his sky kingdom of Agkelos. It wasn't even recognisable as any of the forests from Aether on the land below.

No, this was somewhere new. And here he was sitting with a book he could only assume was magical from what he was seeing on its pages. It was clear it was connected somehow with numerous others. He should try to talk to them.]

I am afraid that I am unfamiliar with these lands. I am lost. I am changed. These new wings of mine will not alter or fade away as I please.

I... do not understand.

[There is also another person out in the forest today! Rudy is out for a walk today, having felt the need to get away from the village for a bit. It was a nice change from the usual dealings of the village; staying in one place for so long often leaves a drifting sort like him feeling more than a bit restless, and even he needed some time to himself now and then.

What Rudy hadn't expected is to come across what seems to be a New Feather, and looking a bit confused as well. Well, Rudy's not going to let that sit by. Might as well check to see if they're okay, so he'll just be calling out to the new person first off.]

... Hey? Are you lost?

[A voice. He looks up from where he's sitting, his journal open on the ground in front of him, and sees a young boy coming his way. A boy unlike anyone he had seen during his lifetime... just what was this place?

Eleytheria stood to address the boy, picking up his journal as he did so. As he moved, a light wind seemed to linger around him, though it could just as easily have been the breeze through the trees he supposed. He nodded to the stranger.]

I am. I have seen all the lands of my home hundreds of times over, yet this one does not seem familiar. And these wings... they were not there before. Not unless I willed them to be there.

[That sounds like a "New Feather" alright... Rudy was still not very used to that term himself, having just got here not too long ago.

He'll be nodding quietly as he listens to the new person. Most people would probably be confused in a situation like this, to say the very least, and Rudy was definitely no exception when he first got here. Hence why he'll try to take it easy, and calmly explain to the stranger as best as he can:]

Wings? ... Sounds like you're a new arrival here. Usually everyone tends to wake up with them when they're brought here.

[Brought here? So he was taken from his homeland... But no that couldn't happen! If he was removed from the world then the world's balance would be shattered. It would slowly die without him and his kingdom... that would fall too.

Though he felt panicked inside he tried his best to hide it. He mulled over the words, that he was on a new world where everyone was given wings. Well, then he would just have to find his way back.]

There must have been a mistake. I do not belong here. I... cannot be here. There is too much at risk for me to be lost in this world. Lives will be lost. The planet will decay.

Decay?

[The planet will... decay? Did he hear that correctly? That sounded worrying... and eerily familiar as well. But that wasn't the issue right now. Frightening or unnerving the newcomer is the last thing Rudy wants to happen, so best to keep things as calm as possible and explain!]

Wait, let me explain. It's not a mistake; the Malnosso were the ones who brought us all here... to Luceti, I mean.

[As much as it probably isn't comforting to hear right now. Which is why he tries to give the stranger his best reassuring look.]

... I know it must be hard to take in, but they've said time is frozen back in our worlds. So, your home is probably safe.

[Malnosso. He had never heard of them before. And the way he said 'our worlds' led him to believe that these people, if that was that they were, had brought others from many different dimensions. He was not aware there were so many of them out there.]

We were taken by the Malnosso to this place... Luceti? [He repeated as he tried to make sense of it.]

Well... as long as what they have said is true then my world should be safe for a time.

[Oh yes, about the decay. He should try to explain. He placed a hand on his chest to gesture to himself.]

I am a Wind Spirit. My powers are needed to help regulate the world. Without it the air would become still and stagnate.

[A wind spirit... So he was like an entity of sorts? From the way the man talked about regulating the world, Rudy's first thought was something like a Guardian. If that's the case, it makes sense why the other man would be concerned. It probably wasn't the best feeling right now, not being sure of the safety of the home you help keep sustained.]

Really? ... I can't blame you for being worried about home. I think that's the case for a lot of us right now, so you're not alone there. But don't worry. Your home is fine, I'm sure of it.

[Although Rudy himself wasn't too sure whether the things the Malnosso said about their worlds were really true or not; trying to make sense of it wasn't always the easiest. But in times like these, it helps to remain hopeful regardless of what might be going on. That's how Rudy feels, anyway, as he tries to reassure the other man.]

Here, the village shouldn't be too far from here. I can explain more on the way?

[Especially when that world helped to sustain your purpose. Your life. But he was feeling hopeful enough to continue here at least. He had someone to focus on and something. This boy, the Malnosso, trying to find a way back home. He could live here for a time. At least the child was friendly. Eleytheria couldn't stand violent humans.

He nods to the boy as he suggests they move on. While he wasn't all that accustomed to walking with humans, at least not those who weren't close members of the Agkelon Royal Family, he felt a little more reassured that there were others in the same boat as him.]

Thank you for your help. I... appreciate it.

[And Rudy will just smile in return. Really, he just wants to help! It's the right thing to do, and as long as he's staying here he might as well help out whenever he can.]

Don't mention it, it's no problem at all. Let's go, it should be this way.

[With that, Rudy will start heading towards the direction of the village, motioning the other man to follow him.]

[Though he wasn't much of an expert at reading human's emotions, he had learned a thing or two from his time with them. This boy was being generous towards him. Of course he should follow and hopefully learn more about his new environment and the people within it.

He nods and starts to walk with him, wondering just who else he would find... what the village would be like. Then he realises something.]

Do you have a name?

[Whatever the other man wanted to know about his new surroundings, Rudy would try to fill him in however he can. Even if he hasn't been here too long himself, he figures it doesn't mean he can't help other newcomers along the way.

Introductions? Oh, come to think of it he was just about to do that himself. Well, that takes care of that!]

Hmm? Oh, my name's Rudy. [There's a short pause as he extends a hand to the other man.] Rudy Roughnight. How about you?

[Even despite being new he seemed to have more knowledge of the place and the strange changes that had occurred upon coming here than he did. So Eleytheria was thankful to know someone who could answer even basic questions.

He listened to the boy's introduction and waited all through that pause, but then suddenly the boy was offering his hand to him and he seemed... mildly confused.]

My name is Eleytheria. Is... something wrong with your hand?

[Huh, that response was a bit unexpected. It might be just him, but the other man seems almost puzzled by his gesture. ... Was he not familiar with handshakes?

Still, Rudy isn't too fazed by it as he keeps holding out his hand. Yep, still smiling too.]

This? It's a handshake.

[A handshake? The word didn't mean much to him either. It was if Rudy was expecting him to do something but he wasn't quite sure how to react. He tried to recall if he had ever seen his Agkelons using the same gesture. Yes, maybe he had... even if he failed to understand it and threw it away as pointless information.

A little hesitantly he reached out to take his hand, though he didn't make any movement just... held it. As if waiting for the boy to show him what to do next.]

Like this?

[That's right, you got it! When the other mand takes his hand, Rudy will just respond like such:]

It's nice to meet you, Eleytheria. [As he's saying that he'll be giving Eleytheria's hand a firm, yet gentle handshake. After that, he'll let go of it.]

... [All right. Handshake. He lets the moment sink in as he tries to make sense of it still. The action itself makes sense with the description of the word but... was it really that necessary a gesture? How did it relate to a meeting? A connection?

He decides not to think about it too much after all and simply nods as he lets his hand fall again.]

It is nice to meet you too... Rudy. [Not something he's really accustomed to saying either but he'll try. He feels too alone and vulnerable out here not to.]

This village... is this where you live in Luceti?

[Well, with that done, Rudy will once again set off towards the village's direction, leading the way.]

Yeah, it's where most people are staying. There's lots of people from other worlds here, so sometimes it might feel a bit busy. [Well. To Rudy, anyway. As friendly as he usually is, sometimes the busy atmosphere does leave him feeling overwhelmed after a while. Hence why he's out here instead!

He'll stop to think for a moment, before adding:] If you need a place to stay, there should be some housing availible for newcomers.

[And of course Eleytheria will follow close behind, wondering what else they'll end up coming across.

He listens to his explanation of the village. Many people from other worlds... worlds he had no knowledge about. Would he find it overwhelming? He was still learning about the humans of his own world so the possibility of beings coming together from others seemed like it would become confusing. Even Rudy himself looked different to the people he knew.

He still showed kindness though. That was a good start.]

Thank you. [He says in response to the offer.] Though... I would prefer to stay outside the village for the majority of the time. I was not made to walk among the mortals.

[Not "made" to? ... Something about that sort of phrasing does strike him a bit off, though Rudy is hesitant to press that specific issue. Well, if he was like a spirit and his purpose of sorts is to keep the world stable like he says... the choice of words would probably make sense. But deep down, the thought of being "made" for something did make him feel a little uncomfortable, for personal reasons. Though he wasn't going to say that out loud.]

Really? ... I think there's all sorts of people here that had their own, um, purposes back home. Um, that is, before coming here. If you look at it like that, we're all in the same boat, aren't we?

[Still, some did prefer to stay outside the village, to remain nomadic. Some people just felt more comfortable living that way; even Rudy understood that feeling. If that's what the other man feels comfortable with, it's probably best not to force the issue. Which is why he'll add in:]

But if that's what you prefer, that's fine too. Just be careful, okay?

[He was likely right, in a way. Though his own purpose was what really kept him alive, even humans led their lives looking for a reason to live, wishing to put themselves to good use. Animals too come to think of it. Did they not live just trying to survive and raise families of their own?

Of course, he had no idea what other races were out there and if they all lived in the same way, but given his limited knowledge of such things, Eleytheria could do nothing but agree with Rudy's words.]

I suppose you are right... Even so, Spirits were never meant to spend very long with the people on our planet. We had far greater things to be concerned with.

[It hadn't stopped him from growing closer to them though... a mistake really. But even after his own betrayal he had grown to like a small handful of people. People that promised peace and who always upheld their promises. The perfect race.

Rudy's next comment catches his interest though.]

Is there a reason that I need to be careful?

[He wonders. He had never really feared much in Aether. He was too far removed to face danger for much of the time.]
