Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

I get that a lot. [Spidey jumps on down from his hammock to stand next to Billy. It's more polite, right?] Already starting to rethink it. It's way too quiet for a New York hero like me.

[...Huh. He's shorter than Billy remembers.]

Way too quiet for a New York citizen, too, so you're not alone there. Still, it's nice to have some local heroes around.

[He's a growing boy, okay.]

Yeah, kind of weird to miss all those cars honking. [He crosses his arms and contemplates something.] I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this place needs heroes around, right?

[Growing old in Billy's time, alas.]

Sometimes, yeah. It's weird, though- for the most part, it's a really peaceful place. There's not even any crime to solve.

[No crime, peaceful for the most part, and quiet? That's too good to be true. Waaaaay too good to be true.]

Much as I love the whole superhero gig, that's music to my ears. Maybe I can get a break for once. And I'm not talking about the kind of break that hurts. I get enough of those back in the Big Apple.

You'll like this place, then. Sometimes trouble gets stirred up, but you'll probably spend most of the time in civvies. It's not bad, as far as otherworldly prisons go.

[No need to press on the whole otherworldly prison detail. That's a pretty good nickname for a place with a barrier that you can't just bust through. But--]

Civvies? Don't hear that term around the block too often.

Really? I thought it was the industry standard for super heroes. [He's half-teasing now, though; no need to make Spidey nervous by getting into the secret identity stuff.]

[He's not entirely nervous about it, because anyone in the village could be Spider-Man. Then again, there might not be a ton of people from New York that even know Spider-Man to make the pickings too big.

So complicated.] Wait, wait. You're saying there's an industry for this? Am I supposed to be getting paid?

Um... eventually, actually. Where I'm from there's a whole group of super heroes who got together and made it into a real job.

[With salaries! Maybe even a pension!]

Where you're from is where I'm from, right? Think I could get in on that action?

[Money is really important. Aunt May needs it, even if Peter can't earn money here and send it home. But despite what he's read in the guide and heard from others, if there's any chance of remembering this... maybe he can earn a little extra cash to make life easier.]

Not to feed my own ego, but I think I'm pretty good at what I do. [Ego: nom nom nom.]

Actually? You do, at some point. Assuming we're from the same Earth. I think I'm from your future.

[Which... might be a stretch, but hey, he can hope for the best. Spiderman makes a pretty badass Avenger.]

The future? [That's kind of a stretch, and Spider-Man's definitely taking that with a grain of salt. But it's a cool thought.] ... Do I get a Spider-Jetpack?

Not... that I know of? But you do get a robotic spider-suit. That's pretty cool, I think.
