Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Ginia sighs and shakes her head.]

I feel we will continue to disagree due to our differences in ideology, but that is okay.

I am just trying to see what is so hard with understanding that if you do good, you get rewarded. If you don't you get punished.

Because life is not black and white. It's very, very grey.

Abel has said that, but it gets too complicated. It leads people more to black than white.

But what if things the church say are black are not necessarily so?

Then they are black. The Church knows best.

['but what if they don't?' she thinks to herself, but that is not a conversation to be had with strangers, for Luce is still a stranger, and Ginia knows they would only go in circles. Ginia drops the argument and gives a few sullen sips of her milkshake. This was not her problem. She's still not sure why she's trying to change his mind.]

Yes, I am. And are you enjoying your... [he looks at it. He has never seen a milkshake before.]

[Frothy paint. The description earns a small smile.]

Milkshake. It's a mixture of milk, ice cream, and chocolate syrup. [And Baileys, but he doesn't need to know that.]

I think I have heard of ice cream.

It's made from freezing and churning a mixture of cream, milk, and other ingredients. Would you like to try some?

[Luce looks torn. He...never would have imagined something like that. Also, she is offering a taste. What if he doesn't like it? What if he does and can't get it back home?]

[...Ginia decides to take matters into her own hands. She excuses herself from the table and goes up to the counter, returning a few minutes later with a small sample of vanilla ice cream. She sets it in front of him and waits.]

[He stares at it for a few moments. It is just it by itself which is good. He skips the spoon and just takes a little on his finger and pops it into his mouth. He likes it! It isn't too sweet, but it is still very sweet. And it isn't like fruits or the spiced breads he had before due to his very limited diet and own picky eating.]

[And so Ginia has introduced another person to the wonders of ice cream and all is once more well in the world. Ginia happily sips at her milkshake.

...Oh. No more milkshake. Sad.]

This is really good. I should give some to Abel. [he sips his juice and looks at her drink.] Would you like another?

[A shake of her head.]

No, one is good for the night, but thank you for offering.

[He nodded, still taking the small finger scooped sizes.] I will have to ask the Head Priest back home if the church can make this.

It's not very difficult. I could show you how to make ice cream.

[For a brief moment curiosity dances across his features. Before he frowns.] Why should I learn how to do that? I am not a cook.

[SIGH.]

For the enjoyment of it? For knowledge? One should specialize in something, yes, but that does not mean you cannot learn other skills.

You see though, if other people can do it better than I can, why bother? Besides, cooks and seamstresses and farmers all do their jobs and there is no reason to intrude.

Sometimes it's nice not having to rely on others and being able to do things yourself.

[But, he wanted to keep Abel around. And besides- the church.] I am happy with my lot in life. I wake up, I feed my birds, I eat, I do my job, I feed my birds and go to bed.

What more can a person want?
