Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Bet you can't go higher than that, Grandpa Aang! [ well okay that's a lie, because she's totally watching expectantly for some master airbending funtimes, with a huge grin. ]

Just watch, Ikki!
[Grandpa Aang airbends at his back to swing himself up at a high speed, looping over the top twice. The second time it goes around, Aang leaps from the swing at the height of its arc and then makes a slow descent to the ground.]

Oh, oh, now me! [ Sticking out her tongue in concentration, Ikki mimics Grandpa Aang, tumbling out of the swing once again, this time on the second time around just like Grandpa, and floating back down. She looks over for some more approval, grinning. ]
You're fun! You're my favourite Grandpa. [ have a hug, swingbender Aang. ] Hey, d'you know any other games? We should play air scooter tag or something! Although I guess it's less fun with two people. We can make a new game?

That was really great, Ikki. [He feels a surging joy from the mention of "air scooter tag". I made that game.] Wow, a game for just two people? Uh... maybe we can play some air-catch! Make a ball of air, and we toss it between each other!

I've never played that! [ SQUEAL OF PURE JOY AND EAR SPLITTING-NESS ] Is it brand new? Did you used to play it? This'll be so much fun.

I thought it up just now! Most Airbender games were made for groups! [It's likely he'd invent it back home, years later, when taking care of a sole Airbending child...] It'll be new and fun for both of us!

Really?! That's so so so so cool! [ happy jump and spin down to the ground, because oh my gosh new game ] Let's try it, let's try it! Who goes first? Should we have scooters too? OH, maybe eventually we can do lots of balls at once like - like juggling!

That's an even greater idea! We can have balls of air all over the place! It'll be called... Super Air Catch!
[He steps back and quickly prepares his own air scooter.]

That's the best name ever, it's going to be the best game because of course it will be!!
[ Ikki takes a moment to stop gushing and spins her own air scooter, balancing on top of it with practiced ease. Making other balls of air while balancing should be new, though. ]

Ready, Ikki? Here comes the first one!
[Aang launches it towards her softly.]

[ aaand she lobs it back, somewhat less softly. ] Catch!

[This gives him a good sense of her skill. He flashes a grin of pride, then he prepares and launches a second air ball while the first one is coming. This one's a bit faster. He catches the first one and feeds it air just seconds after launching the second one, then he tosses it as well.]

One, two - [ Ikki catches the second one, feeds it, and tosses it - and then, with a grin, makes her own third air ball, and throws that soon after. She wobbles a bit on her scooter when catching the first ball, but pulls it together to throw back. ] Three!

He catches the second ball with his right hand, but instead of tossing it back, feeds it and makes it bigger. The third air ball catches him by surprise, but he's still able to catch it with a mischievous grin in his left hand. He keeps it the same size.]
You're a natural! But how about even more of a challenge?
[As the first ball comes back, Aang tosses both of the ones from his hands but with different angles. He tosses the third one pretty quickly so that it will go to his left but then curve to the right so it will be back by Ikki. And the second ball is thrown at a slightly slower speed up into the air, so that it will drop down towards Ikki. Then he just catches the first airball and, with some brief feeding, tosses it straight back.]

Aang's mischievous grin is mirrored on Ikki's face - literally, she has the same grin. The curveball nearly does her in, but the air scooter is her favourite form. She leans over to catch it, feeding it and throwing it straight on at her grandpa, and then sort of bounces up off her scooter, causing it to dissolve, to catch the next one, batting it back while spinning down to form a new scooter.
Aaaand almost misses the first ball, with an appropriate giggly squeal, since it nearly gets her in the face. She manages to divert it back at Aang, but didn't get to feed it much air, oops. ]

And then, the first ball comes back to him, and he can see it's dying out. A mischievous grin comes to his face. He scoots forward to meet the ball while it still has some air, brings his hands closer together and ultimately pushes the three airballs together, mixing them to make one giant air ball.]
Now this is Super Air Ball! [He pushes it forward.]
