Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Crysta has been here for a little while now, although everything is still quite strange to her. Honestly, she's still trying to wrap her mind around the fact that there are humans here. Real live humans! They actually exist!

Though right now, she's doing some exploring of her own in Good Spirits. Mostly, she's fluttering around the bottles of liquor to try and figure out what they are, and what humans would need them for.]

[ the barmaid leans forward. peering. ] There's a fairy. Behind my bar. Huh.

She's just going to fly on over so she can be face-level with Buffy.]

Oh, thank you! I still don't understand why I need another pair of wings when my own work just fine. But your wings look very nice! I didn't know all humans had them - back in FernGully I was always told humans didn't have any!

We don't usually have them. I mean -- these are new. Well. Not new. Relatively new. I'm kinda used to them, now. Three years'll do that to you.

[Sup, Crysta. You have one (1) very confused human trying to figure out what that little light is that's flittering around the bottles. And also trying an experiment. Small flying things are drawn towards light, right? He gives a small charge to the beer bottle he's been slowly nursing, easily pulled back and nothing that would do any damage, letting it glow a bright violet.

[Yeah, going a little cross-eyed trying to get her into focus here. Also ow, so very bright. But he's interested to see what's going on here, so he lets the charge fall from the bottle.]

That's a long story, petite. Let's jus' say it's somethin' only I can do.

[Unless, of course, another mutant has the same ability.]

FernGully. [Not that he knows where that is but that doesn't matter because omg human.]

But what you did! It's something that only you can do? I didn't know humans could use magic!

FernGully. Right. [That probably shouldn't sound familiar, but it does. He's not going to focus on it too much, though. Instead, he just shakes his head.]

Not to rain on your parade, li'l lady, but it ain't magic. [Discussing genetics with a fairy. This place.] S'more like how fireflies can light up... it's built in.

[WHAT'S A 'PAHRAYD'?]

Oh! I guess that makes sense. So... you're like a human firefly? [That is very strange to think about.]

[...Makes just about as much sense as "I make t'ings go boom", right?]

Kinda like that. Real twinkly. [Look, he'll make the bottle sparkle and glow again. And grins.] 'Cept wit' this, it ain't a good idea to go tryin' to catch it.

Catch it? Why would humans want to catch fireflies? [But okay, she's still curious. She flies back to the beer bottle and hovers over the opening.]

What is this? Is it something important to humans?

[Some part of him insists that it would be hilarious to see a fairy flying around drunk, but that. Might end horribly. He chuckles.]

Non. Ain't important at all.

[Before she can go flying into the bottle or anything, he decides to try to distract her.] What's your name, petite? I'm Remy.

[Oh, spoil Crysta's fun, why don't you? SHE NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT IT IS. Well. Maybe she'll investigate in a little bit. He said it isn't important, but if it wasn't, then why is there so much of it in this place?

Oh well. Human has a name! Remy. Remy. Sounds kind of funny, but she likes it.]

[There's so much of it because it isn't important, but that's a concept he's not sure he can explain very well. Filling in the blanks from his French, though, that's the usual.]

Jus' another word for "li'l". [Beat. He should probably try to enunciate, because it wouldn't be the first time his accent perpetuated a circle of "what'd you say?"] "Lit-tle". I mean.

Oh! That makes sense. [She IS very little in comparison to Gambit after all.]

But about what's in this, um... [UNSURE.] This! You were drinking it before, weren't you? So it's some kind of drink, like water?

[This is going to end in drunken fairies, isn't it.]

It's a drink, but it ain't exactly like water. Makes some people act kinda funny.
