Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[There is a little boy in the forest who hasn't quite figured out just yet that there's a village out there, further upstream. So instead he's camping outdoors! Yep. Fun.

At least he knows how to take care of himself anyway. He already has a nice fire going and is attempting to pile leaves and moss to make his bed softer. In the morning he'll see if there's anything decent to eat.

Poor kid. He's only a ten minute walk from the village, too.]

[Well, it's a good thing Zack's out and wandering, then, isn't it? Though the poor kid is so small Zack very nearly trips over him while he's wandering through, staggering a little to avoid falling on the mage, his eyes widened in surprise.]

Whoa...!!

[Vivi is so clumsy though that just one little bootnudge from Zack is enough to send him right onto his backside, a little dazed.]

Ack-!

Oh- I'm- I'm sorry. [He picks himself up slowly, dusting off his coat and pants.]

[Oh geez, the poor kid. Zack crouches down, peering at the- ...whoa, that's. Different. Kinda cool, but definitely different.]

Nah, I think I'm the one who should be apologizing. You alright?

Y-yeah. I was just surprised.

[Okay straightening big floppy hat- wow holy crap this guy is huge. Vivi stares up at him and then immediately ducks his head a bit, stepping back a couple feet to give Zack plenty of room to pass by.] Sorry.

[Oh, that's adorable, he's shy. Zack smiles warmly, not moving to leave just yet- no point in just tromping off and abandoning the guy before he knows more.]

It's okay. What are you doing out in the middle of nowhere, anyway?

[Vivi gets a little shyer with the attention, fiddling with his gloves, but despite being big Zack hasn't been in the least bit aggressive. It's probably safe to chat with him.]

I-I think I got lost somehow. So I'm just looking for my friends.

Friends... have you called for them on your journal?

[Testing, testing. He's not sure if Vivi is new or not.]

[Oh, that's right, there was that book nearby when he woke up. He'd planned to tuck it right inside his jacket so he could return it to whomever it belonged, and-

[Haaa. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Zack fishes his own journal out of his pocket, offering it out.]

[He wants him to...yell at a book.

Vivi gingerly takes the journal and opens it to the first page. He glances up at Zack, just to be sure he's not being pranked or something, and then very meekly asks,] H...hello?

[He almost drops the book in shock when several voices answer back, but unfortunately not one of them is from someone he knows. He politely excuses himself from the conversations and holds the book back out to Zack.] Is this magic? Should I go back and find the one I left?

I'm in shock from your originality

[Zack laughs at his reaction, taking the book and flipping through a couple of pages. No luck, huh? Well, it doesn't always work right away.]

You can if you want, but it's not a big deal if you can't find it. For some reason it always manages to find you if you get separated from it for too long.

Um, thank you. For your help. [But Vivi totally doesn't want to keep this guy out here, he seemed like he had places to be. Vivi can just be in the forest in the dark alone. It's no big. He's not afraid of the dark or anything!!!]

[Forests are where lots of alchemy ingredients were in her world, so Rorona's been poking around there, looking for anything that looks like it could potentially be used for something.

... Unfortunately, she hasn't been in Luceti nearly long enough to know where she's going. That'll teach her to go it alone! But it's during her wandering that she notices what looks like a campsite. There's a campfire, and some ... kid?

Hmmm ...]

Umm, hello? Excuse me?

[Vivi jumps and squeaks and falls off of the log on which he'd been sitting. He was so deep in thought he hadn't even heard the leaves and twigs crunching beneath Rorona's feet as she approached.

He spins around to look at her; she's just barely visible by the light from the fire, but she doesn't appear to be waving a knife threateningly at him and so he doesn't run away wailing, as he'd been prepared to do.]

H-hello. Um. Are you lost too?

[... That is a really strange looking kid. Maybe he's wearing a mask or something? Well, he doesn't seem bad, so while Rorona does pause for a moment, she decides to continue speaking anyway. After all, there are some strange-looking people in Luceti.]

Ehehe ... Kinda, yeah. I should've realized a forest like this could get really confusing if I didn't know it well enough ...

[But enough about that--]

You haven't been stuck here too long, have you?

No, I just got here a little while ago. [Vivi fixes his hat and brushes off his coat.] Is-is there a town nearby?

Yeah, there is! ... You didn't know?

[NOPE]

Um...

[Well now he just feels silly making a fire when there's a town close enough nearby that this lady can walk to and fro from it.]

Do you need some help?

[piealchemist]

Well, kind of, but ... [... kind of hard for this kid to help her get back to town if he didn't even know there was one. Hrm.] ... Um, maybe I can help you instead! I don't totally know where I am, but I could probably help you get to town!

[... probably ...]

But...doesn't that just mean that...we're both lost?

Um ... ehehe ... well ... kind of.

I-I'm sure that, if I could just see a landmark of some kind, I could get us out of here. Really!

[Well, being lost with company is better than being lost alone, right? Yeah. That's probably something Zidane would say, at least.]

Oh, good then!

[Rorona looks around the general area from where she's standing. Hmm, something has to look at least a BIT familiar ...]

Why don't we try ... this way!

[She points off towards what would be south, if she had a compass or something like that.]
