Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Mako was just taking a walk around the village today without much of an agenda. The village's a nice place and all, but you run out of things to do real fast. Kinda felt like a big waste of time being stuck here considering how things are back home. But...at least here, Korra wasn't missing anymore.

He stops in front of the clothing store for a moment.

...You know with Asami here, maybe he should consider getting himself something nice to wear when they go out. Everything's free here afterall right? Guess that's one good thing about this place. So he'll just walk on into the shop, not realizing his girlfriend was in the shop at that same time just yet.]

And Asami is too preoccupied to realize it... at first. It's actually a short pause before she does see Mako when she turns to check out a different rack. Oh.

"Girlfriend" might be an overstatement. But it also might not: to be honest she does still love (like?) her "boyfriend," even if she's furious at him for that argument they had, what prompted it, and how he's acted afterwards. But in Luceti, he didn't seem to be acting the same way and... he didn't have all of the same memories. She doesn't think, anyway. But she can't help but feel indignity rise in her when she sees Mako and flight of fight responses come up as well.

She wouldn't mind a confrontation, but at the same time the last one didn't go well and she hasn't started it up again in Luceti yet. But she also doesn't really want to hide from her boyfriend(?) either. So she decides to just pretend she hasn't noticed him, going about her shopping like it ain't no thang. See what he does and how she feels when he does it]

[And only a moment after Asami notice him, Mako sees her after she made a bit of noise with the clothing rack. He doesn't say anything to her right away though. He suddenly had that feeling like he shouldn't be here when he saw her. Asami had been acting pretty odd around him, cold almost. Yea, she was friendly with him whenever they saw each other, but it felt like she was keeping his distance from him.]

[Was she just telling him she wanted some space? She could have just said so if that's the case. She's already been here for a few weeks, how much more space did she still need? And why wouldn't she want her boyfriend to help her out with this place? Ugh, he just runs his hand through his hair for a moment.

Maybe he should just leave her alone to her shopping for now. But why would he just walk out on his girlfriend without at least saying hi after seeing her? He sighs and swings his scarf around his neck. He'll just say hi. If she doesn't want to talk to him, then he can leave.]

Hey Asa-

[As he walks towards her, he felt his scarf tighten around his neck. His scarf had gotten caught on one of the empty hooks on a hat rack. Oh god, why now? He quickly tugs at his scarf to get it free before he embarrasses himself even further only to take the rack with him. Quickly he makes a grab for it, saving the rack, but dropping all the hats on it except for one]

Whew. [...wasn't he talking to Asami? He straightens up suddenly, rack in hand still.]

I thought you could use a new hat. [Yep. Smooth. keep it real smooth, Mako]

[Oh drat, he noticed her. Okay, compose self, go to make a more neutral conversation. One not about their problems or Korra and she can just go on with her life (though, she decides, this whole avoiding him thing is frustrating so she's going to make good for a redux of their argument in the kitchen soon, just on better terms - so probably not right now) And-]

[...Then the hat thing happens. It's so cute. She smiles a bit to herself, because though it was an accident, he's still coming off as being thoughtful, and that's enough for some of her anger and embarrassment to be shoved aside for the warm feeling she felt for him before Korra was kidnapped and Bolin told her the truth he was still hiding from her]

It has been bright out here.

[She smiled. It seems genuine as well. Maybe things weren't as bad as he was assuming. He clears his throat as he puts the rack back where it was, taking the hat from it and then walks over to her.]

You could use something nice from me once in a while too. And I can actually afford this. [He tries to keep things light, attempted humor to test the waters. Because he still wasn't sure what was up with Asami the last few weeks.]

[...Okay that was funny. she holds out her hands to take the hat, putting it on her head and adjusting it on as she's laughing a bit at that joke. Still, there's none of the easy affection she'd have normally done with Mako, like their infamous PDA with the kidding and nos rubbing and all that stuff. She's not quite ready to be that open again. But a hat and him being charming? She can do that for now. At least he's paying attention to her]

You picked well, I think this looks pretty fashionable.

[Well whether she's ready or not, her taking the hat and being a little cheery seems good in Mako's book. In fact he's going to assume that he's in the ok range to try and wrap his arm around her waist]

It looks good on you. Then again, you always look good in anything you wear to me.

[Sliiight...ly offput. but no, she can do this. In fact, she decides to bask in light level affection like this. It's been ~~a while~~ okay it hadn't been that long but it had been long enough]

It's a habit of mine, I try to impress.

[Asami letting him hold her was the kind of reassurance he needed. This is as far Mako's gotten with Asami without her giving him the cold shoulder since they got here. It still felt like they were back to square one though]

Sooo...is everything all right with you? This place hasn't been too rough on you the last few weeks has it?

Not... rough, just confusing. [A beat, let's focus on something else so-] After all, Avatar Aang is here.

You saw him too? [Topic change is a go.] I hear even Avatar Roku's around. It's crazy.

[Roku, wow. ] And the ones I've met are all younger than us. ...Except Sokka.
