Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Well, what if the store just happened to run out of sardines today? You could always check back tomorrow, and if they're still not there, then you can complain! It wouldn't be very fair to complain about it if it wasn't their fault ...

If they were properly prepared, a shortage should not have happened in the first place!

Maybe a bunch of people came in all at once, and they ... forgot?

Hey! Wouldn't you be raising them only to eat them? That's way too cruel!

I fail to see how that's any different from raising livestock.

Besides, any sardines under my care will receive the best treatment available while they grow! And not all of them will be eaten! There is an ocean here, if possible, I would prefer to have a natural population grow as well.

Hm? Yes, the town's introductory guide stated that there's one beyond the mountains. And supposedly, there's a way to get there instantaneously. Guess someone learned how to mimic Dimensional Gates.

...Say what you will about humans, good or bad, they do prove to be remarkably resourceful.

Wow, really? That sounds just like the Warp Gate I made! [Not that she has it here ... maybe she'll find the ingredients some day!] I wonder if an alchemist was responsible for that ocean short-cut, too ...

[... She didn't even hear what Val said after "Dimensional Gates". Now she's on a new set of tracks - "Could there really be another alchemist here?!"]

...Warp Gate? Are you saying you developed technology capable of mimicking Dimensional travel yourself?

Well, I don't know about dimensional travel, but I did make something that instantly takes me back to my workshop, no matter where I am!

I should be able to ... If I can find the ingredients for it, anyway.

Well, let's see ... If I'm remembering right, it should be any kind of high quality jewel, some sturdy lumber, and an Azure Wing. I know I could totally find the first two, but ... the Azure Wing might be a problem.

Where would we get one of these "Azure Wings", then? The effort to get one for an instantaneous transportation system within this cursed bubble would be more than worthwhile.

Well, they're just sort of lying around in some of the more dangerous areas of my world, but ... that's the problem. They're in my world. I haven't seen one here yet.

[... She also hasn't taken the time to look beyond the stores in the village, but still.]

That doesn't meant they're not here, though! If food products and other trivial items make their way here from various worlds, there should be no reason we cannot try to find one of these Azure Wings!

It might merely await someone to overturn the correct stone.

Hmmm ... You know, maybe you're right. I haven't seen any in the stores, but maybe those Molasses guys hid them somewhere else! I just need to look a little more carefully.

Exactly! It's that kind of attitude we need to get some progress around here.

Yeah! I'll just get myself cleaned up and head out right away!
