Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Frankly, he doesn't care whether Saitou was talking to him or the cat. The only thing that matters is that this is the only person alive who can pacify this hellish animal.

He nods, visibly grateful, as cat!Toshizo gives a loud meow and trots over to the other man, weaving in between his legs.]

[ as much as he wants to pick up nekoshizo, Saitou will refrain from doing so in the face of the actual vice-commander.

he spares the cat a single glance, before returning his gaze to Hijikata. ]

Do you require assistance? [ you look like you're having troubles... ]

[Let him tell you all about his troubles, Saitou...

He sighs and shakes his head in the negative.] Not anymore. That thing was driving me crazy, though. [Meaning Toshizo...who is still demanding attention from his faithful ~~servant~~ friend by upping the purrs and the loving affection to the eleventh degree.

Hijikata turns back to look at choice selections of frozen "corn dogs" with suspicion, however.] But I don't get it. How can these people eat most of this crap?

[ while nekoshizo does manage to squeeze a subtle twitch out of him, he manages to stand firm. nngh... ]

Whether or not we choose to consume foreign delicacies is our choice.

[ he stares evenly at its packaging. though their meals probably wouldn't be the most appetizing to the general audience, Saitou more than content with where they were at with them. what is living in the future? ]

[While Toshizo brings out the big guns--attempting to claw his way up Saitou's legs because he's not letting him off this easily, no sir--Hijikata shakes his head, almost in pity, and continues moving down the aisle. He spots a bag of "pizza rolls" and this time actually removes it from the freezer and studies the pictures disapprovingly.]

True, but there's hardly any Japanese food here at all. [They might be forced to consume foreign garbage at some point in the future ugh.]

[ Nekoshizo, no. no no no. go back to Souji already... Saitou has his priorities! he would give the animal a threatening glance, if it were not for the fact it was named after the vice-commander. stop being so hard to ignore, geez. ]

. . . We will adjust to what is available. [ they can start a garden or something!! since there is... not much to do, anyway. ]

Though it may take time. [ picking up a box of granola bars -- how does one bar constitute as your breakfast? ]
