Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

[The reason for this is Soujis aren't the only ones with thick skulls. And right now the thoughts bouncing around this particular thick skull sound something like this:

Basically, apologies to those of you in the store who can read minds because Hijikata is insanely uncomfortable right now. And this new Souji being like this close to his face is not helping matters at all. Not even bothering to hide his disgust as he takes a couple steps back.

Now for the clearly logical response: Lash out. Yes.]

[Or Souji may find out exactly how "adorable" this Toshizo can be when he's mutilating someone, if you catch the drift.]

[Oh, he's angry. Even for someone who is used to trolling Hijikatas, it's clear when one is super angry and when he should back off. Souji takes a step back and tries to hide his disappointment behind a smile, shaking his head. ]

I wouldn't dream of it. I guess there are a lot of things different between our worlds then. I didn't mean to upset you, Hijikata-san.

You didn't, did you? [Yes, his response is sarcastic and biting, and maybe he'll regret it someday, but not now.

Now, Hijikata allows himself to bristle a little less when ... "Souji" backs away. Discomfort and extreme shock remain, but as he gives the man a good looking-over for the first time (I mean this guy, Okita Souji. Really? Color him unimpressed), the very first seed of curiosity sets in.

Oh, but we're still hostile with our tone over here, make no mistake.] And what'd you expect? I'd jump for joy at meeting another Souji and we'd all go out drinking?

[He laughs and shakes his head.] No, I don't drink. At least, not much. The taste of it never settled with me.

Does Hijikata-san drink often? The one I know smokes like a kitchen hearth, but you don't seem to smell of tobacco like he does.

...That....wasn't his point, exactly, but okay. He can roll with it. ~~He totally can't roll with it "other hijikata-san" ugh this is ridiculous~~

He lets his gaze fall to the cat, who starts wandering off to find free fish or something wait no kitty don't leave him alone with this guy...!]

I don't like drinking. [The truth is, he has terrible tolerance. Like hell he's gonna admit that though.

But the idea suddenly strikes him as a good one. This seems like a situation worth getting plastered over. The best part is it wouldn't even take very long...]
