Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[ Malik has done the whole bartending thing before, so why not? And hey, pink wings look wicked slick with a suit, just sayin'. Who doesn't want a drink mixed by Ephinea's manliest Captain? Or maybe you just want to spill your worries to someone? He's good for that too. Just be careful-- it's hard to tell if he's joking or trolling you. Either way, it's a bartender's job to make sure you enjoy the rest of your night. Except not like that ladies, come now. He's handsome, but try and contain yourselves. ]

[Open mic night would be a lot more fun if he had his fiddle. But watching others perform isn't such a bad way to spend the night.

Geordie sips at his beer every now and then, tapping a foot in time to the music. Completely approachable.]

[Huh. Pao-Lin doesn't frequent Good Spirits as much as some other locals, but she's familiar enough with the regular staff, and she doesn't recognize Malik at all.

Still, she slides in at the bar and waits for a good moment to catch his attention for her favorite order.]

Um...can I get a strawberry milkshake, please?

[Yeah, there's no age restriction on alcohol in Luceti, but Pao-Lin still sticks to the non-boozy stuff on principle. She's kind of a goody two-shoes that way.]

[Maiza enters the bar and removes his hat, looking around for a quiet corner -- as quiet as it can get on a busy evening like this one -- to sit in. He keeps his overcoat on as he crosses the room, finding himself a place at the counter and ordering. Maybe it's the familiarity of the atmosphere. The bar was one of the most calming places here.

When his order arrives he turns in his seat to look around. The alcohol isn't sweet; he misses the taste of honey that came with everything at Alveare. Feeling a little homesick but not one to show it, he sips the drink quietly and looks around.]

[ Well, good, cause Malik would have side-eyed an ordered from a kid like you. ]

Sure thing. [ Malik nods, turning around for a sec to get started on her order. The blender takes a bit, so for now, it's time to do the other part of his job. The counseling bit. ]

So, I take it you don't come here very often. [ Unless the milkshakes are really good here. Which they're not. So. ]

[oh my dragons you did not just insult the milkshakes, FIGHT ME -- ]

Ah, not too often, I guess. I usually like staying in for the night, since I fall asleep early.

[He's sitting at the corner of whatever party this is -- a birthday party, maybe? -- with a balloon in his hands, spinning it. Occasionally it leaves his grip and floats an inch, but he catches it, humming along to whatever music is playing.

His wings are... pretty. They're white, and clean. And he's smiling cheerfully as he looks up sometimes and observes the party. But his eyes are covered by long brown bangs, completely hidden, and he knows that sometimes it makes it hard for people to remember his face. But that's okay. He likes to be quiet and unimpressionable like that.

Sometimes he talks though. To every few people who pass by, he calls out politely:]

Excuse me--?

[At least there were maps and a steward who knew where he was going when she went to Manhattan. Poor Eve is lost in the woods again today, clutching her skirt and looking around nervously at the trees that all look the same when you're lost. Of course spinning around doesn't help her figure out where she is at all, and she calls out to the first person she sees walking by.]

Excuse me-- could you help me find the way to the grocery store?

[ This is a bar. You're supposed to order drinks. Unless you're a kid. ]

I see. [ That's kind of adorable. You're obviously a good kid. Malik won't troll you too much, so he just turns around to get the milkshake and goes through the trouble of cutting out a really cute lightning-bolt-shaped strawberry to put on top. ]

There you go. I call this one the "Thunder Shake." It signifies hope for the future.

[ That may or may not be a joke, but he's got a completely straight face. ]

[ Today in the square you might find a dark-skinned youth, poised gracefully at the top of fountain (??? how is he balancing there???), singing. He's very, very invested in this song and is singing from the bottom of his heart. He hopes that somehow, his voice will carry to the one who wrote it. He doesn't have much time...

Those that pass may notice that there is a very certain charming, drawing, and even magical quality to the song; those that are sensitive to magic may indeed notice that is the case.

And anyone that sticks around long enough is in for a surprise-- ]

[Asbel's a somewhat frequent patron of Good Spirits (in no small part thanks to the Captain's influence back on Ephinea), so he was coming to the bar to enjoy a good drink.

Too bad he didn't know Malik was on duty. Or even employed by the bar.]

[Luceti is a decidedly curious place, and just like with any mystery in front of him, what does Tintin do? Well, he sets out to solve it. Which of course means investigating each and every character he comes upon around town. Who is this person? How long have they been there? What do they know about the Malnosso? Are they dangerous? These are the things he's got to know.

When that doesn't get him too far, he'll set out to the library. Because there's no greater source of knowledge than the library! His study here doesn't do him much good, however--though that isn't to say he's not swept up into reading for awhile. Just look at all these odd books!

And later on in the evening, he'll be reading his journal while sitting on a bench in the plaza. Another decent method of gathering information...hm. But it's still very elusive, this mystery.

If you don't notice the redhead teen who looks like he's got some very serious business to attend to, then you might notice his dog, who always seems to be coming up with clever ideas of his own. Snowy goes wherever Tintin does--even if it's different dimensions.]

[ And lo and behold, Malik is back with crablettes. That have a little crown made of garnish on top of them. THEY ARE ROYAL CRABLETTES. ]

One order of royal crablettes. Eat them carefully now, you don't want to insult the Crablette Kingdom.

[ Malik shakes his head. Isn't it obvious? He's about to pull something out of his sleeve. ]

The crushed strawberries, the shredded ice, the cold milk-- ingredients that individually, are just okay; together, they make something truly amazing. It's the same thing in life. Our experiences each day may seem trivial, but if you put them all together, they're irreplaceable. If you're going through a hard time, just remember-- a bad day is only of the one ingredients to a delicious milkshake.

[Luceti is quite the beautiful place. Perhaps not so much as Koriko, but it has its charms that make it more comfy-cozy than the hustling and bustling back home. In a way it's a little like starting her witches training all over again, though writing home to her parents is going to be more than a little difficult.

During the day it's possible to spot Kiki flying around on her deck brush, soaring over shops and even going as high up as the furthest floor of the community buildings. She can be called down if you catch her attention or open a window as she passed by to say hello.

In the evening Kiki can be found without her broom, entering the item shop. She's looking for cleaning supplies. Scrubbing brushes, buckets, mops, soap, you name it. Her new apartment looked filthy so a little sprucing up is definitely in order. It might be possible to spot a black cat following her around the shop and back home. Even if she could no longer talk to Jiji he was still a dear friend, no matter where they might be.]

[Luceti is all about those wild and crazy parties. Tsubomi, however, is far from the partying type. But it's good to try something new! She wants to talk with someone or even a small group of people to try and become more sociable!! However, sometimes... Old habits die hard. She is sticking really close to the wall and wondering how to even strike up a good conversation.]

I-I-Is anyone here interested in flowers...? [Miiiight need to turn up the volume there.]

Du-hu-uuuude... ! This beach is awesome! [Man oh man, watch out, accident prone guy on the beach. Be wary, he might get caught in something.]

Man, a beach party is definitely what we need! It's gonna be fall soon, we've gotta get all that swimming out while we can, right?

Hell, I'll even chip in if you wanna get a new swimsuit! I have good taste in those kinda things, y'know? I work at a Junes back home, a department store, so I'm up to date with all the latest styles. And if you've already gotten one all picked out, c'mon down! It'll be a lot of fun, I promise!

[Ororo remembers visiting Cloud Nine. It was a quaint place, lovely atmosphere and had good taste in music. She'd promised some people she would play the piano for them, before, but she never quite got around to it. What better time to get to that (finally, months and months later) than on open mic night?

Afterwards, she'll sit herself somewhere non-obtrusive to do some quiet people-watching, a mild fruity drink in hand.]
