Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[She gives a brief, tinkling laugh....until it strikes her:]

This place is very strange. They're able to... It's hard to explain. You haven't seen the Seventy-Fourth Games yet, I've been through them. Which sounds crazy, but I'm not.

At least, not that crazy.

Then forgive me, Clove! Congratulations must be in order! For clearly the odds were in your favor. How lovely!

[Though there is a pang -- a definite pang -- that Katniss and Peeta did not survive.]

Hold off on that until you see the Games. Or someone else spoils the [she hates you Capitol people, but that just channels itself into a smile and sweet tone] fun of seeing the results.

This place is really strange -- death doesn't matter. There are four Seventy-Fourths here. So.[Another smile flashed, the perfect interview persona: sweet with a little bit of playfulness and just a hint of a cunning and ruthless edge.] It could be any of us.

[And now it occurs to Effie that she has possibly fallen into what might be the absolute BEST public relations stunt ever organized! She will have to talk it up and take as much credit as possible for it once they're all safely returned to the Capitol. Oh, how pleased the Gamemakers will be!]

Indeed! And look at your darling smile and your poise! This will be ideal for ALL of you, really. Attention! It is all about the RIGHT sorts of attention. Who is your minder while you are here, my dear?

I'm afraid the Malnosso only saw fit to bring me with my district partner Cato. [Who definitely made more of an impression in the parade, she knows. But shw got hers in the interviews. And by scoring the same as Cato with the Gamemakers. Let him have the initial showmanship. Ariadne had told her that. Then show what she was made of.]

Neither our mentors or our representative is here.

[The sweet tone and easy smile are what keep the profanities she wants to say about the Capitol residents in check. They're the ones with money.

...There's no money here, but she hasn't ruled out the value of allies and sponsors. How it would work here, she doesn't know. But best not to burn bridges.]

[Her voice takes on a warm, imitation-motherly quality:]

I'm sorry for not recogniziing you. I really only manage to see the recaps of the reapings every year, and you know how little they show the representatives. And, well, once I was at the Capitol...

It was all such a rush, especially after the parade. I didn't really get to look around much.

[Sweet self-deprecation. In matters like this, the Capitol population seemed to find it charming.]

Felix would be appaled I don't know you, I'm sure, but it is so much to take in.
