Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Luceti is full of surprises.

Today the surprise is at the rec center, a place Mia almost never visits but she needed a nice long walk. Unfamiliar places.

Familiar voices. This one causes her to miss a step, stumble forward, and then half-run the rest of the way. His game has been called on account of this girl throwing her arms around him from behind.]

Kurt!

[There is now a woman wrapped around him. And he can see hair of an unusual color backing down. And... she knows his name?]

H-Hello?

It's so good to see you again!

[Let her have another happy few seconds before she figures it out.]

[He frowns. He was warned about this. And as good as it is to have someone hugging him, which he feels like he had to earn with everyone else he's known, it doesn't sit right with him. So he tries to pull back.]

I'm sorry. I... Have we met before?

[Now that is the icing on a very sad cake. Mia lets him go, stepping back almost immediately.]

You...you don't remember.

I'm sorry. [He repeats himself.] This is... It is the first time I have ever known being here.

Oh- Oh, no, Kurt, it's not your fault. I'm sorry, I should have asked first. [It only takes a second to brush off her disappointment and extend a hand.] I'm Mia.

It's okay. You look like someone I should be sorry to forget. [He hesitantly reaches forward with his furry hand and grips hers in a handshake. Did she really... trust him this much?] But it's nice to meet you, Mia! My name's Kurt. [A pause, before he winces.] But you already know that.

[It's a firm handshake, too. With a bright smile.]

It's nice to meet you again. This is better than the last time, I think. [Which was rather embarrassing for her but Kurt had fun with it.] What were you doing before I interrupted you?

At least I should be thankful for a better first impression! What I was doing? I was just... playing this video game here. [He indicated some sort of Street Fighter-esque arcade cabinet.]

Oh, you made a good first impression the last time, too. I think. [It was her making the bad one.] ...May I watch?

Oh, then I'm glad. It's not often the fuzz gets a good first impression. Or was did I look like a person? [And he nods that she's welcome to watch, continuing to talk as he battles opponents in the machine.]

[She seems to have a little trouble computing that one.]

Of course you looked like a person! Just like this. You're quite easy to recognize.

I am easy to pick out in a crowd - naturally because of my charming personality! But... really. [He glances away from the game for a moment.] Is the way I look really so normal to you?

It's the way you've always looked. This is what you looked like when I met you, really!

And you never found this... scary, or weird, or anything?

[A very decisive shake of her head.]

But I know the people in your world did. Or that they do. I think you look similar to a few of the different types of people I've met at home.

[They do. But this intrigues him.]

You mean, were they... mutants? Who looked like me?

Not exactly like. But the Proxans can be sort of blue, in different shades, and the people of Garoh are all rather...well, fuzzy. It's not so strange.

[You should meet the dwarves. They were strange. Enthusiastic! But strange.]

[It almost sounds like science fiction. The kind of world he thought he'd fit in better at. He keeps a cheery grin.]

So your world grows a lot of fuzz, huh? Sounds like the place to be!

[To him it is science fiction.]

I suppose you could say that. There are things yours has that mine does not, too.

[He releases the joystick and stares at her as if realizing a grave misfortune.]

You don't mean... Please tell me you guys have soda!

Ah...no, we don't. You're the one who showed me what soda is actually.
