She stands at the very very edge of the chair and does not jump. No. She hops forward, off the chair. Her little, white, grey, and black speckled wings beat furiously, trying and trying to keep her airborne. But she falls.

And actually laughs as she gets up, brushes herself back off, and gets on the chair again.]
