[There is little to do at night for those that do not sleep. And there are only so many hours that can be spent silently sitting on the grass outside of the community building, watching Loki's window for sign of wakefulness. Especially as spring has not yet come to this realm.

It has been how many days since her arrival to Luceti? At least enough to count a full week. And since a way back to Midgard has not yet been discovered, Leah has, at least, attempted (unsuccessfully thus far) to find other ways to divert her time.

Wandering the village at night is, she is quickly finding, no where nearly as interesting as it is during the day.]

It's very frustrating, as you might imagine. Especially if he's exiting the grocery with an armload of food. This just isn't his day.]

-At Seventh Heaven, where he rearranges some of the tables to resemble a traditional mess hall and brags about the bear hunt he shall engage in later.
-At the smithy, where he tries a variety of weapons on for size, while loudly musing about how effective each would be against a bear.
-In the forest, at any stage of the hunt, even in the middle of a battle against said bear, although he displays some hesitance and even tries to be... reasoning with the bear on some level.
-Or at Seventh Heaven again, bragging about his day's exploits in hunting or trying to hunt bears.

[After only a week, Kaylee couldn't really say she was settled. She still woke up panicked from not hearing the low thrum of Serenity's engine, and she still had trouble finding a comfortable way to deal with her wings and her coveralls. But there was plenty interesting about this planet, however upsetting the circumstances, and she was doing her best to put on a brave face in the meanwhile.

The lack of technology is both frustrating and fascinating. After a bit of fruitful searching through the item shops, she's gathered a bunch of old, electronic equipment...everything from toasters to desk lamps to a remote-controlled car. They're scattered at her feet while she sits on the steps of one of the community buildings, taking advantage of the light and the fresh air while she carefully dismantles them and sorts the pieces]

Which, really, she supposes she is, but she's always strived to make herself look like something a little more. That's why she married a rich man, after all. So she could be noticed and admired. Envied by women and desired by men. It was the only way to get anything in this world, she'd found.

So, that's why the little basket she's found has henna dye in it. If it works for hair, surely it will work for feathers. Give them some little more red, at least. And why she's browsing fabrics. She's more than capable of making her own clothes, certaintly. Something to give them just a little more elegance.]

[It isn't very ladylike to stare. Faith Long is very aware of that simple fact of decent manners.

However, there are so many strange, wonderful things in this world, she knows she's doing it. She's at least trying to pretend she's not. There are more colours than she can think to describe, and the pad of paper in front of her is filled with half sketches of people, fashion, and creatures unlike anything she's ever seen before.

She doesn't fancy herself as an artist with graphite and parchment, though she's not half bad. But what she wants is the general impression. She can stitch it later, find thread the precise hues she needs and immortalise it that way. That, she knows she's very good at.

Of course, being so intent on catching those immediate impressions and not bein seen by the ones she stares at... she's not paying attention to most of her immediate surroundings.]

[Constance Astin has found her way to the grocery store. It's not like any marketplace she's ever been to, and, eventually, she's at the fruits. Many of them, she knows, but there are certainly things that have never been on her father's table before.

So, what's a young lady to do save sample each one, even if they're not foreign to her? A raspberry here, a grape there. The kiwi is a particularly interesting thing... she isn't quite sure if it's like a peach and to be bitten into or like an orange and to be peeled.

She hasn't yet ordered a drink, but that certainly is in the plan. For now, she's watching interactions, still convinced there must be some sort of barter system in place.

She still kind of wants to try it sometime, though. Just to be sure for herself.

But for the moment, she might be found in one of the clinics (naturally), handing out healing and lectures on how not to be dumb enough to get hurt like that again.

Or she might be training -- as much as the Battle Dome is fascinating, there's also something pleasantly visceral about just getting out and punching an actual physical target into rewardingly-massive destruction.

Or she might be just gong about her day, trying to be brisk and efficient, doing her best to be Tsunade (a better Tsunade, a less drunken and gambling-addicted Tsunade, all the best parts of her teacher and none of the worst) for Luceti, because she feels like it's needed.]

This may not be her first day in Luceti, but getting used to a place like this was not easy.

Especially when every other second, she was shivering, her teeth were chattering, and she could barely say a single word without stuttering. ]
