Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[To Harry's credit, he only jumps slightly because he's really quite leery about books and people talking from inside those books. He glances up at Evan, blinking in surprise at that statement.]

It's only a consolation in knowing it can't get any worse while I'm away. [And even then it's still bad. He's restless, he's antsy, and he's really pretty sure this is not going to benefit him in the slightest.] Who told you that?

[Evan gives an apologetic smile when Harry jumps slightly in surprise.]

Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you.

Well, that's a good thing isn't it? It also means your friends and family won't worry. [Because things not getting worse? Seems a pretty good deal in his opinion. Even if it means thing also can't get better while your gone.

At Harry's question Evan pulls his Journal from a bag he's wearing. Because it's damn hard to carry around the journal which is a vital communication device when you only have one arm.]

There's a guide in here. They talk about this place in it. Also all the older residents are happy to answer questions.

It's fine. [The words come quick as he gives the man his full attention briefly.] Because they won't even notice I'm missing, I take it? That's a surprise. [And sort of...a strange relief. Granted he's still not sure he's allowed to have the luxury of being pulled off of his Volde-quest for the time being, but until he figured out how to get home he can't do much else.

He continues watching, examining Evan as he moves again to pull out his own journal. He knows better than the stare opening at the fact he only has one arm. How many times had he himself been frustrated that people kept staring at the lightening scar?

Wait. Was that still there? He had wings now; maybe they cancelled each other out. He immediately reaches up, feeling around on his forehead...and frowning in disappointment upon feeling the scar embedded in his skin like always. It was worth a try. Still, he moves suddenly, leaning in closer to get a better look at Evan's journal as he explains.]

A guide. Brilliant, that should cut everything in half at least. But then what? Older residents makes it sound as though people have actually been here for years.

[Evan nods.] Pretty much. From what I've learned either time doesn't pass or it passes at such a rate it's like you never left. Maybe you flicker a bit? I'm not sure.

[Evan watches as Harry reaches up to touch the odd lightening shaped scar on his head. But he doesn't say anything about it, figuring everyone has those weird quirks and habits and maybe touching that scar was a comfort thing? Who knows.

He tilts the journal so Harry can see it better. At his comment, Evan makes a face before sighing.] Some have been here for years. [There is no real way around this fact. He had been shocked when he found out.] No one really know how we get here or how come some people leave and others stay. As far as I can tell it's all on the whim of the Malnosso.

[That. That is really not something he wanted to hear.] I can't afford to be stuck here for years, time passing slowly or not! [Urrrgh. He's just going to look at Evan's journal before consulting his own, hoping for different results of some kind.] But others have left, haven't they? What did they do?
