Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Fergus | Brave

[One could catch Fergus at any point in the day at one of several locations.

-At Seventh Heaven, where he rearranges some of the tables to resemble a traditional mess hall and brags about the bear hunt he shall engage in later.
-At the smithy, where he tries a variety of weapons on for size, while loudly musing about how effective each would be against a bear.
-In the forest, at any stage of the hunt, even in the middle of a battle against said bear, although he displays some hesitance and even tries to be... reasoning with the bear on some level.
-Or at Seventh Heaven again, bragging about his day's exploits in hunting or trying to hunt bears.

Such is the life of Fergus, the Bear King.]

[Wait? What? Why is there one giant thing of a Beorc attacking a bear? Leanne is just hiding in a tree, really unsure if she should speak but....

.... The poor bear.]

My lord what are you doing?

[Not leaving her tree as long as that giant Beorc is down there. Ever.]

[A bonnie voice from a tree. Fergus looks up to the source and narrowly avoids being swiped by the grizzly's claws at the same time.]

Tis just the hunt, lass! Enjoy the show!

[No, she can't watch this. Should she use her galdrar magic to try and calm the both of them down?]

Hunt? You are going to get hurt as well a kill it, my lord.

[Oh goddess, does she choose the Beorc or the bear to side with? Which one to choose?]

Aye, doesn't that sound grand? It can't be a proper hunt without some wounds to show fer it!

No it doesn't my lord if I am allowed to be so bold. What if you gain a wound that will kill you?

I'd be a sham of a Bear King if I allowed that to happen!

[song_princess]

[Okay, all the feathers in both sets of her wings ruffle at that sudden shout.]

Bear King? Then are you a Laguz as well?

[And hnnnn if he was a Laguz king then she would shame her race if she didn't aid him. And it would certainly explain his size as well. She goes to start singing and hopefully Fergus wouldn't mind the magic that is being cast on him as she goes to try and make not only his speed but strength to go up as well with her singing.]

[mybearhands]

Laguz? What nonsense is- oh.

[He stops for a moment as the soothing song comes through his ears. And he does feel himself getting stronger.]

I feel like I can take on a whole forest of you lot!

[He shouts at the grizzly, preparing to charge it.]

[song_princess]

Yes, a Laguz?

[Ah! Perhaps she should intervene and now flies down from her to place herself near him, hovering above the ground.]

My lord, please try and flee. I do not know for how long my song will last on you.

[mybearhands]

[He gasps at the winged human and then looks down at the bear, which is preparing to advance.]

I dunno what yer talkin' about! But I can't stand down 'til I'm done with this bear!

Lets reason with bears

[Well, Henry stumbled across this. It looks like the man is actually going to try and hurt the thing...but all the animals can talk here so that's not right. So have a tiny child moving towards the two.]

You can't kill it! It talks!

[mybearhands]

[Fergus had been ready for a killing blow - but when the boy arrives, he has no choice but to push the bear back.]

Out of the way, lad! Ye'll git yerself killed!

But, you can't! It's not like in your world! It can talk! You can reason with it!

[Sorry Fergus, you have one stubborn no killing kid on your hands.]

[mybearhands]

[He's strained for a moment, considering what had happened to Elinor. Fergus looks between the boy and the bear. He had tried to talk with the bear before attacking it, but despite being able to talk, it did not seem to have signs of human intelligence. So it wasn't a person.. maybe. But his priority would have to be getting that boy to safety before the grizzly comes again.]

Boy! Bein' able to say some words don't make it our friend!

[Henry didn't have a problem with self defence or beating it up. That wasn't the case. Just the fact of killing something that could talk was not a good thing. But it didn't seem like this guy was listening.]

But what if it has a family?

[Why was this guy even hunting bears to begin with?!]

[The sword loosens in his hand slightly.]

I... I'd 'ave to...

[But then the bear is rushing forward in a blind rage, so Fergus tries to shove the boy out of the way and, instead of trying to stab it, he raises his arm to take the slash.]

Git back, boy! I won't kill it, but stay out of it's way!

[And the blind rush of the bear makes Henry just throw himself out of the way, the shove is enough to send him flying behind some rocks. He'll peak out from behind them though as he looks out.]

Be careful!

[mybearhands]

It's alright, lad! I'd be a sham of a king if I let a grizzly so wee get the better of me!

[It's tricky fending it off non-lethally, but he's doing all he can for it, driving it back.]

[Well this kid will appreciate the king for not killing said bear.]

[He gurgles down some more of his mug before he shouts to the woman.]

Obsession? Lass, it's my reputation! Maybe ye never heard of me. I'm Fergus, the Bear King!

Bear King? King of the Bears?

[Huh.]

How does someone get a reputation like that?

[mybearhands]

King of hunting the bears. I can't very well rule over the mangy lot now, can I? I get the reputation by a lifetime of hunting bears. And from my most fearsome battle with the Demon Bear. Now that's a tale!
