Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Apparently her words of caution are interpreted as an invitation to pick up the pace and start leaping over rocks. And grinning in a manner most unbecoming for a perfect princess.]

Merida-!

[And off she goes. Elinor sighs, shaking her head with a wry smile. But she urges her horse to a quicker pace herself; nothing to be done but follow after her after all!]

[The fact that her mother is following her is surprising - even after all they've gone through, it's still a bit of a shock - but Merida isn't about to complain. Instead she grins back at her mother, albeit briefly to avoid accidentally guiding Angus into a tree or something, and leads a merry chase through the woods. She knows her mother's got plenty of spirit in her beyond all the layer of noble behaviour and training, and she'd love to see more of it come to the surface.]

[Well, being that Merida was far more familiar with horseback riding than Elinor is at the moment, the queen has a bit of trouble catching up with her daughter. When a few moments pass and she's still no nearer to Merida, Elinor decides it's high time she nudge her horse into a faster gallop. She wouldn't reach her daughter at all if she kept to a safe pace like that!]

[On the flipside, as much of a daredevil as she can be, after a moment she realizes that she might be pushing things a bit too hard- She doesn't want her mother to get hurt, after all, and racing at full speed without the experience to go with it might do just that. With a gentle tug on Angus's reins, she urges him to slow down and let her mother catch up, offering a slightly sheepish (but nonetheless pleased) grin.]

I've never seen you ride so fast.

[Oh, finally. Elinor is only slightly out of breath once she does catch up to her daughter, but somehow manages to keep her back straight while she gives Merida a stern look.]

Never had reason to, until now.

[tumshie]

[u mad mum

The stern look knocks the wind out of her sails a bit, because she thought they were having fun. Was her mother just chasing her to get her back on track again?]

I wasn't in any danger. See? I'm fine.

[Oh ye of little faith, Merida. Also, your mum still needs to learn how to have fun, cut her some slack!

She gives her daughter a bit of an exasperated, vaguely apologetic smile.]

... Yes, I can see that, now. I suppose I shouldn't worry so readily.

[tumshie]

[Shock. Shock. But maybe there's hope for them yet. Have a tentative smile back.]

...I know you're just looking out for me... it's just. I've done this before, plenty.
