the road's got me hypnotized

the luceti test drive meme

Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Anyone from Gotham is suspect. It's the city that just won't leave anyone alone. It drags the dregs and the dark things and occasionally cool homeys like Jason.

But presently, all those things are irrelevant because pizza. Pizza is a thing Robin appreciates. It's also a thing he's having delivered to a Seventh Heaven window because like hell is he going to just settle down inside. He'll be eyeballing Terry through the glass though. What'chu gonna do, New Feather? Where's your costume and psychosis?]

[Working with the Robins? Possibly the most bizarre thing he'd done as the Batman. At least the older Robin made it clear he wasn't a sidekick. That made it easier. The younger one? Well, Terry didn't want a sidekick. Jason probably didn't want to take orders from some stranger. It was weird. It was one of the reasons Terry was relieved to be going civilian today. An escape from the twisted Batfamily he'd managed to always just stay on the fringe of.

This would be so much easier of big Robin would ditch the costume so they could just hang out without blowing his cover. Either way, he was doing his best to try and ignore Robin. Which wasn't exactly easy, really. At one point, he shot Robin a "Leave me alone" death glare before going back to staring at ceiling fixtures.]
teenwonder: (33; that's not funny.)

[Of course he wasn't a sidekick! Not with the enormous Bat-shaped chip on his shoulder. But at least the Batman-to-be wasn't completely incompotent. And he wasn't some inhuman old man, so points there too. But that's entirely irrelevant right now because NEW GOTHAMITE. There are a handful of signs and mannerisms that will most likely mark him as That Batman soon enough, but for now there's pizza. Who cares what else is happening when the stomach is demanding other things?

Except what the hell - why are you death glaring, stranger? Does the costume distract you? Are you one of Melanie's hoodlum future friends?

He'll return the glare even though his mask really shouldn't be that expressive by any stretch of physics.]

[Great. Now the Boy Wonder was giving him the death glare back. Somehow the masks always made them more intense. His first week as the Bat and he used to freak himself out when he'd pass any mirrors.

Well, whatever. Terry packed up the pizza and made his way outside. He didn't go out to meet Robin. He just leaned up against the building, plate of pizza in hand, as he talked to the open air.]

It's too bad only civilians are allowed to eat inside. The pizza's good.
teenwonder: (29; ACTION!)

[It's a little obvious, but it gets the point across in that subtle-but-necessary tone their kind were so often forced to use with one another. He'll even head up vertically to make himself scarce while remaining within earshot.]

Have you ever tried tofu as a topping? It's not nearly as terrible as it sounds.

[There. Foodtalk means they're cool now.]

That sounds awful. Really awful. I'm really glad that didn't survive into the thirties.

[Terry will be quite content with his pizza loaded with all the normal sorts of meats and vegetables, thanks.]

I know it does. But one of my buddies back home made tons of the stuff. It's pretty good once you've had enough of it.

[Sob. Titans. :(]

Well I'd offer you some of mine, but I told them to take it easy on the tofu.
