[Terry's spent a month in Luceti. Well, sort of. It was a strange new place and the Old Man would have warned him not to be so stupid as to let "Terry McGinnis" and "Batman" arrive at the same time. Two people from Gotham at the same time? Not the smartest move to make.

He'd never been on the job for so long consecutively. Nor had the job ever been so mind numbingly dull. So he was super relieved that he was finaly walking around as a civilian. He'd been doing this for a week now, meeting people as he went, being rather relaxed for a New Feather, but pretending to be surprised as he needed to.

Today his activities include gaming at the rec center, ordering pizza at seventh heaven, perusing the item shop for stuff from home, or just sitting on a bench out in the plaza and soaking up the freedom of hanging out outside and not being in his bat suit.]

[Anyone from Gotham is suspect. It's the city that just won't leave anyone alone. It drags the dregs and the dark things and occasionally cool homeys like Jason.

But presently, all those things are irrelevant because pizza. Pizza is a thing Robin appreciates. It's also a thing he's having delivered to a Seventh Heaven window because like hell is he going to just settle down inside. He'll be eyeballing Terry through the glass though. What'chu gonna do, New Feather? Where's your costume and psychosis?]

[ Lena's wings are still so unfamiliar to her that she completely forgets they're even on her back from time to time. Which is what happened to lead her to the injury which finds her in a great deal of pain, tears in her eyes, right arm reaching back over her left shoulder and clinging to it desperately as if it will make a difference.

She was running and smacked into a tree, and her left wing took all the impact. She tried placing several different Casts on it, but nothing would heal it the right way. She finds herself desperately wishing Ryan were here, or Ethan, because Ethan would know what to do. But neither of them are here, and she's finding her way to someone who can help her as quickly as she can.

She's managed to place a Cast that helps dull the pain, but her magic is so watered down here that it makes little difference. The sky still opens up and starts to rain with her moods sometimes, in small areas, but the torrential downpours don't happen anymore. She doesn't like it. She doesn't like feeling this weak, either.

The wing that is injured is her gold wing. The green one is still in fine condition, but it doesn't matter, because the pain won't stop. She's pretty sure it's broken, and she stumbles toward a building - any building - to find someone who can help. ]

Jeez -- [ she rounds the edge of the counter, concerned. the stranger looks bedraggled. more importantly, the stranger looks new. ] H-hey. Get in here. Grab a seat.

Gretel | Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

I:

[It's quite the bonfire she's got going, the flames orange and red against the black and blue of the night sky. There's no stake at the center, no witch lashed to it as she burned to death. Still, there's something comforting about a nice, large, but controlled fire.

Gretel sits on the ground near it, a pint of honeyed ale taken from Good Spirits beside her. She's actually in a fairly good mood, despite the visible breath rising from her in the crisp spring air.]

II:

[Gretel doesn't trust the forest. She never goes in after dark, and she tries very, very hard to be out before sunset. Still, she's also made up her mind to do her best to explore every inch of it. To root out any witch's lair. Any strange cottage or gingerbread house.

First sign of a candy house? She's burning it to the ground.

She moves along, her footsteps light. No twigs break under her, and any rustling she makes is very, very faint. Whether it's boars or witches, she is a hunter in her own right.]

III:

[Gretel refuses to alter her jacket. The leather -- beaten as it is -- is too much of protection for her to cut it for the sake of letting those wings show. Besides, they're vulnerable. She's done harm enough to them herself. Better to have them under the thick material than be exposed. Even if some would tell her she has nothing to fear walking the village by day.

She has no purpose, not this time. Instead, it is pure wandering, staring in awe at all the sights she has yet to get used to. The strange creatures and signs of magic she doesn't want to tolerate. They all pretend it's so normal and so nice. Her? She's not letting her guard down.

Any of these things could still attack.]

[The Professor couldn't sleep tonight. It was one of those restless nights when your mind runs a mile a minute, keeping you up until it takes a break or you pass out from exhaustion. Not that it bothers Oak too much, since he pulls out an all-nighter from time to time to finish his research. But instead of staying up to continue what he started this time around, he decided to go outside to take a breather, hoping that the night air will be enough to calm his nerves so he can have a peaceful sleep.

While looking upward at the imitation stars, he began to smell something burning nearby. His eyes soon darted to the left and right, seeing if there's a possible house fire going on. Fortunately, that wasn't the case as he instead sees a bonfire with someone sitting next to it, someone he haven't seen before. Could she be a New Feather like him?

Since Oak is not yet tired, he decided to head over to the bonfire and talk to the woman who likely started it.]

Professor Oak | Pokemon Adventures/Special

[Oak wasn’t sure if this would work, but something had to be done. He honestly couldn’t stand seeing his Pokemon in such a depressed state anymore. Maybe some time in the Battle Dome would give them some temporary relief by giving them an illusion of what was before their arrival in Luceti.

A few buttons were pressed before the scenery began to change before them. Trees, small houses, and tall grass are now surrounding them, replacing the steel bolted walls of the Battle Dome. Oak can recognize a few buildings that were near him – his lab, Red’s home… he can even see Viridian Forest in the distance. No longer are they within the bounds of Luceti, but in an all too familiar place they would much rather be.

Pallet Town.

Of course it’s not real, but there isn’t much else he could do at this point. After all, words of comfort can only go so far. Hopefully this would ease their pain a little, since a stimulation of their home town is better than nothing at all. Though the professor can’t help but wonder if they will overcome their homesickness. Only time will tell. But until then, he’s going to stand by and watch his Pokemon live a dream.]

[Aang never really uses the Battle Dome for combat scenarios. Instead, like Oak for his Pokemon, he likes to make nice and peaceful places that remind him of home. But working the controls can be complicated, especially for a teen monk from a world that doesn't have anything near this technology. Sometimes, he instead settles for peering at the other rooms. Sure, most are battle scenarios he has to turn away from, but sometimes he finds someone else with a more peaceful scene that he can just stand and admire.

This is of course one such scene. He stands at the observation deck, transfixed by the tranquil scenery. It would be rude to walk in on someone else's scenario, so he just stares in admiration, smiling as he notices the creatures frolicking within. Perhaps they're creatures he recognizes, having been getting to know Pokemon over the past few months, especially after his granddaughter from the future wound up with her own Swellow and a Pokedex.

He'll stand there quietly until he's noticed, ready to greet whoever set up the simulation.]

Xavin | Runaways | (Marvel) (i)training or (ii) relaxing

[Luceti takes time to get used to. Fortunately, Xavin is more the adaptable, and this is not the first new place she's had to learn to live in. At least she has allies, or friends she supposes she should call them. It's more human to use words like that to describe the relationship after all.

(i)The power loss however, is something she's not willing to accept. And so it's easy to come across Xavin by the river, moving through her Super Skrull training to see if she can get further today. For those unfamiliar it's a peculiar sight, a young girl frowning in concentration as she wills her hands to turn to flames, to rock, then to will them to stretch as far as she can, and then to turn invisible. And the frown never disappears. She won't be happy till she's back at her original strength, however long that might take. After all she's been training half her life, this is nothing new.

(ii)Later though she takes a break and sits by the water, dipping her feet in. The boots of her usual getup have been shed and now she seems more completive, wistful and sad as she stares down at a toy compass in her hands. It's cheap plastic, the sort of thing found in a cereal box, but it's clearly something of importance to her from the way she handles it.]

[Those stupid, tiny wings! He'd tried scratching at 'em, but they wouldn't go away. Scratching to no avail and now one of them appears to be bleeding.

And Charizard, being the prideful Pokémon that he is, is too stubborn to ask for help. Even if, right now, he could sure use that moron of a trainer of his. Or a potion.

Huff. He'll just... stomp around, occasionally casting glances at the item shop.]

[Jade observes the sleeping monster curiously. He'd killed many a monster in his life, and he wondered if this small dragon would be the next to be put down. The one thing that held him back from a pre-emptive attack was noticing the extra wings on the Charizard's back. In this odd world, that could mean it's sentient. But that didn't mean it wasn't dangerous.

Some would say it's wise to leave a sleeping dragon lie. But Jade was much more interesting in seeing what it would do when poked. So he kicked at the Pokemon, softly but quickly, to see how it reacts.]

I:
[Moiraine's managed to get herself relatively settled, and with spring approaching and the snow melting, the Aes Sedai decides that perhaps it's alright to let herself out a bit. In the early evening, she visits what she assumes is the local tavern, Good Spirits.

Ordering a simple cup of warm wine gets her an odd look, but nothing compared to the look she's giving the jukebox from her table against a wall. Such a strange thing, that music box...and she's rather intently focused on it...]

II:
[Moiraine doesn't trust shadows, she's learned better than to give Shadowspawn an opportunity to sneak up on her, even though she's been assured that there are none here. So, when she's sitting in the library, paging through several enormous books that could only be described as tomes there are several glowing blue orbs floating around her. An entire section of the room is basked in near daylight. While she reads, the Aes Sedai takes notes with an honest to goodness quill on real parchment, mumbling to herself about all manner of strange things. Clear words might be Fade, Traveling, Dragon, Farmboy, and and number of other odd things that all shouldn't be connected together logically...]

III:
[So you're out in the plaza when you happen to notice a woman dressed all in blues and whites glaring up at a pair of ravens that are just sitting on the roof of a building, minding their own business. Clearly she's taken some offense with the birds, but the expression on her face is rather puzzled. What on earth could be the problem?]

IV:
[After some time, Moiraine has finally taken the time to learn to use the Battle Dome. It took some doing, to be sure, but this strange ter'angreal seems harmless enough, and she's been assured that it's safe. And it's been a while since she felt Saidar truly flowing through her, so perhaps it's time for her to practice some of her weaves.

She'll be in a simulation for some time, observers would notice a weird landscape covered in sickly foliage, rotten and oozing with decay, and a lone woman hurling a variety of magical energy at a tall, waspish man covered by a hideous leather mask. He's answering back with spells of his own, and apparently has the upper hand. When she leaves, she's physically exhausted, leaning heavily on a long, oak staff, clearly having pushed herself to her limits...]

[ Lux finds herself in a very confusing and new place, and she feels no connection to a Summoner, nor does she recognize the terrain. These are not the fields of justice. And now, unlike in Summoner's Rift, or The Crystal Scar, or in Demacia itself, she has wings. She has only seen a few fellow champions with wings. They are white and blinding; in fact, they seem to be made of light... Which is fitting, as she is the Lady of Luminosity, but they aren't altogether comfortable and she is not used to them. She wishes for her brother's guidance, but he is nowhere to be found.

She finds herself wandering through a wooded area that is actually quite beautiful, and a serene enough area that she feels she can stop and relax. It doesn't seem there are battles to be fought today. She leans against a tree and closes her eyes, basking in the sunlight that spills through the leaves, a smile on her face. How she wishes her brother were here, or the other warriors from Demacia who fight tirelessly. It would be a well-deserved respite. ]

[ Lux has discovered Slash'n'Crash! And is checking out the north wall, looking over all the armor. It's fabulous, every last bit of it, and she admires one piece in particular. It's made of a bright metal, almost white; a breastplate, one that could match the finest of Demacian blacksmithing. She's not quite sure how currency works here, but she would certainly like to find out, if pieces like this are common. Feel free to notice her admiring and trying on pieces of armor! ]

Aburame Shino • Naruto

[Aburame Shino was a young man perfectly capable of accepting whatever came his way. Roll with the punches, so to speak. Deal with things as they came. Learn, grow, move on. Change is essential to all of life, after all. But there are just some things that take a little longer to adjust to than others. Even waking up in the middle of the forest with nothing put pants and not much else was... jarring, yes, though nothing that couldn't be resolved. Honestly, if it hadn't been for the strange feeling that it was certainly not the forest of Konoha's village, Shino wasn't sure what he could chalk it all up to other than some strange dream he couldn't pull himself from. Just keep on pushing through. Enchanted journals? He's seen things much more strange than that. Namely, as would likely not be much in terms of surprise with "new feathers", the wings were the trouble compared to the bar-code. He is always conscientious about what happens to his body; he has to be. That's the nature of the kikaichū. The wings are foreign. A concept that didn't belong. Even the hive was more than a little upset at the sudden change in balance. And the inability to spread his senses as far as he could before, let alone any of his helpful little friends.

Nevertheless. It'll pass.

At least, that's Shino's hope, considering now he's managed to relocate his clothing, flipped through the journal a while, and is now taking a good long look around region 6 as a whole. The village, the forest, though the mountain... Not so much. Not until he has the energy. But you can tell a lot from the local life. Even the shops, taking the time to finally get his mind and thoughts in order. Take stock of everything. Looking for anyone he might know, or at least recognize. Makes for a productive several hours.

If you're one to wander about, Shino is more than enough of an interesting figure out in the February overcast, considering he's practically covered head to toe (wings included). Don't let it fool you! Come on over and help a guy out! He's capable of conversation, honest!]

[A newly arrived Jade is left in quite a predicament. See, glasses don't arrive with you. So watch the man with odd red eyes examine a rack of eyeglasses at the item shop, trying to find his own specific pair. Why must they all look so frustratingly similar?]

[Today, Jade has been testing the journals - and having a bit too much fun doing so. In this case? Testing means taking his journal to any random spot in the village, lying it on the ground and destroying it with either his lance or one of his many fonic artes. He then does one of two things; he seats himself nearby and tries to make observations of the journal, to see it self-repair; or he simply walks away and puts as much distance between himself and the destroyed journal as he can, to test how it returns.]

[Ororo caught the tail end of Jade's last cry of Turbulence!, turning in time to see his arte forefully blast the journal into a sturdy oak. Her brows rise in concern, surprise and interest. [Tetra is trying out swords in the smithy, but they all seem to be too long for her somehow! She's quickly growing frustrated, and botherers may be met with the sharp end of a blade pointed in their direction.]

[Tetra is searching the establishments around town high and low for her crew - notably in Good Spirits and Seventh Heaven. Hey, she knows the type of places pirates are liable to flock to (instead of looking for her like they should be, tch). She wouldn't mind some help - even if she won't ask for it!]

Kankuro ⌛ Naruto /tries not to fail at new voice

[Kankuro had been very annoyed when his puppets had not been delivered fully intact in their sealed scrolls to Luceti. So very annoyed. But after managing to find a place to work, locating their different parts and restoring his puppets to working order (minus the poisons because, sadly, those were not included and he hadn't started to make more) he felt the grit of annoyance blow away like sand in Suna's wind, for the first time in a month.

Now to calm his itching fingers.

He could go to the battledome, but this is less training and more, well still training; but, like Shadow boxing, real opponents are not needed. Especially since he'll also be using this time to get used to his wings.

Instead Kankuro makes his way through the village and out beyond the forest. Let the Konoha folk keep their forests, Kankuro felt more comfortable practicing like this with a little open space.

He starts into his exercises, Crow and Black Ant the only puppets with him today.]

[If you're out and about near the farmlands today, you may see Kankuro practicing with his puppets. His movements are smooth, slow and simple in the beginning before picking up in both speed and difficulty. The puppets dance is always graceful yet deadly even as the puppet master adjusts.

Do you watch and wait until he takes a break, or risk approaching the trio?]

[Sometime later, his training at an end Kankuro heads back to the place he has claimed and puts Black Ant away. Crow he wraps up and slings over a shoulder before heading back into the village.

First he hits the item shop seeing if anything else from home made it, like a few tools he's missing, the over to Slash'n'Crash to see if he can get a few more kunai and Senbon. Finally he stops the grocery store to pick up something for dinner. Nothing to complicated though.]

[It's a good thing they don't run into each other at the grocery store. That would be so weirdly domestic. A run-in does happen at the Slash'n'Crash though. That's more manly at least, right? Totally. Either way Shikamaru was on his way out with his order anyways.]

[Anyone in proximity to the forest may hear the yowls and whimpers of some sort of animal in pain the noble cries of a god! Should you approach you'll see a strange sight - the large black form of the one and only Coyote - rolling about on the forest floor, tears streaming from his eyes (the ones on his face, at least)]

"Oh how horrible!! How awful!! What ever shall become of me!?!"

[Should you approach this grand specimen of a god, you may notice a tiny thorn has lodged itself in his paw. What do you dooooo??!?!?]

Re: Coyote | Gunnerkrigg Court

[As per Green's suggestion, Oak and his Pokemon are taking a morning jog in an attempt to become psychically fit for Luceti's upcoming missions and drafts. They had started deep inside the forest with plans to reach the finish line at the New Feather station, which is only a mile away. It's quite easy for the Pokemon, but not so much for Oak being he haven't gone this far ever since he and Red had left Pallet Town to reach Viridian City to search for his Pokemon years ago. But he's doing okay for an old man, even if he had to stop and catch his breath more times than can he can count on one hand.

But something's not right. Upon stopping the 7th time, Oak could hear something in the distance and it doesn't sound pleasant. With his Pokemon beside him, they ran(or in Fearow's case, flew) to the source with readiness to help. But upon finding it moments later, he couldn't help but stand there in shock. That is one large Vulpix and it's definitely in pain. But why?]

Simza Heron | Sherlock Holmes: GoS

[To say Simza was a hoarder was putting it mildly. She liked stuffing her pockets with whatever she could find when she did find it. And oh boy, was that Item Shop ever teeming with goodies. All those clothes, knick-knacks and jewelry just sitting there with no owners.

[For two weeks, Lieutenant David Long has done little but listen to and read the strange book. He visited his sister often, having taken - on her invitation -- the rooms directly beside her own. Distance from England and the lack of certain persons, he's all too aware, has improved their relationship considerably.

Today, he makes the venture out without his sister in tow.

[Oh hey Luceti, it's been a while. The village hadn't changed much in the year Lea here has been gone, although now he's starting to realize just how big Luceti is. Before getting around wasn't all that difficult, just summon a dark corridor to make your trip much shorter. Easy peasy. Except, well, now he's gotta walk everywhere. Corridors are just too dangerous for him to use now unless absolutely necessary. Man, what a bother.

But yes, Lea can be found throughout the village. Once he first arrives back he makes a trip to the item shop to grab all his things. Which admittedly isn't much. A white envelope and his weapons: a pair of chakrams and (spoiler) a more recently acquired one.

After he's got all his things he pops into the welcome center for a bit, then simply wanders around for a while, just getting the feel of everything again. Come say hi if you see him. Or even if you don't say hi if he spots you he'll be coming over to you to say hi.]

[After finding out about this place, Cassie decided going off on her own would be best. The main point of this was to just clear her head and gather her thoughts. So many things didn't make sense. Things she didn't want to bother Jonas about. Not yet anyway.

She can be found wandering about. First thing she does is find her clothes, which is her Stature uniform. But other than that, she is just checking everything out, even spending time just in a daze as she thinks about her home life and wheater or not she lived through that attack.]

[ Flora's out and about, a tray of what appears to be...well, some kind of baked good in hand. Whatever they are, they don't really look all that appetizing--or all that edible, for that matter--but Flora doesn't really seem to notice! She's actually quite proud of them, having finally managed to bake something without setting her kitchen ablaze. (There have been too many of those incidents since her arrival, and someone should have just taken the stove out of her kitchen, seriously. )

Needless to say she wants to get others opinions on said baked goods, so! She excitedly approaches anyone who seems like they've got a bit of time on their hands. ]

Ah...e-excuse me! Pardon my intrusion, but I was just wondering if you might, by any chance, like to try a cookie bar?

[ She holds out the tray, and you have to ask yourself: Are those really cookie bars???? ]

[A peculiar scent caught Ai's attention during her relaxing stroll, one she could at first not identify - she thought it was the smell of baked food, but for one reason or another, she couldn't be sure this time. Cookies?

As she casually looked around, her curious eyes caught on the source, making her stop in her tracks. It was a tray of food a girl was holding out in front of her.

Those weren't like any cookie bars Ai had seen or made before.]

[A long while had passed since Ai inadvertently damaged her wings. Ever since the initial accident related to their well-being a few days after her untimely arrival in Luceti as a New Feather, she was always careful whenever she used her hot spring to swim in, which was where she had hurt herself before. It wasn't until the sudden ache she was feeling in her back now when she realized she had somehow injured them again.

Just like last time, the raven-haired girl couldn't do anything to fix her pair of wings on her own, for their inconvenient position on her slim body didn't even allow her to examine what exactly was wrong with them. The teenage girl's sharp, dark violet eyes occasionally closed themselves in response to the sharp pain she felt as she walked through the rooms of her house and clothed herself. It wasn't long before Ai was finding herself on the other side of the front door.

With that, Ai left for the nearest clinic with a gait that clearly showed that she was in pain. She could ask someone close by for help, but she didn't want to intrude on anybody with problems that were her own.

Even the nearest clinic wasn't as close as she would've liked, however, and every step on her way there wasn't an easy one to take.]

[Fortunately, someone here knows pain when she sees it, and she definitely isn't the type to let someone who might need help slip past her. A young woman approaches Ai, a kind and friendly smile on her face.]

[It's been nearly two months since Arya arrived here in Luceti, and it's still something she's trying to adjust to. Very few things here work the way they did back home. The tamed lightning they use to power things around here is still something she's wary of, the season is already changing after such a short time, and there isn't any kind of kingdom being run. None of it makes any sense.

But it's safer here, all the same, and she's slowly starting to come out of her shell now that she knows she can relax a bit and not end up with her head on a spike.

She can be found in a few places today, her massive direwolf, Nymeria, close on her heels. She'll be starting off her morning at the barracks to practice her "Needlework"... which is really her swordsmanship, but still. Later on in the day, she'll be sneaking into the kitchens at Seventh Heaven to steal some bread for lunch and possibly a hunk of meat for Nymeria. Then it's off to the Battle Dome to lurk around and try once again to memorize how to get the thing to work - something she's still not confident in - and she'll wrap up the day by heading to the stables, more or less just for the familiarity of it. Nymeria gets to stay outside for the last stop; the horses would go out of their minds otherwise.]

[ If there is one arrival worse than waking up covered in seaweed, it's waking up with your wings tangled in some random shrubbery. Not that Asuma had been expecting to wake up in a bush. ( Or in new-feather attire, like seriously what. ) Still! He can deal. Or try to deal, given the whole 'wings are tangled in a bush' thing. Though after trying--and failing--to de-tangle himself with as little pain as possible, he flips open his journal, clears his throat and hopes for the best. ]

Anyone have a pair of scissors they'd be willing to part with?

[ There is a new feather headed towards where his clothes from home would be kept. He doesn't really seem all that bothered by his arrival in Luceti, though the branches currently tangled all up in his feathers don't really look comfortable...De-tangling branches is kind of a pain, ok??? ]

[ Asuma's been here a few weeks now, and gotten used to the whole 'you've been missing for a year, BTW' thing. Though getting re-settled has kept him pretty busy, which means it's high time he takes a break!!

Though it seems he fell asleep in the middle of his relaxing, people-watching afternoon, and is now sitting arms crossed under a tree--Dude's out like a light. ]

Ahhh, the legendary Asuma-Sensei seems to be in a meditative state...

I believe I have seen him in such a state several times around Konoha. This is truly a sign of his concentration and sheer dedication to the ninja arts.

[ So, it's been about a week since her arrival and April's finally decided it's about time to start shopping for some basic supplies. Sure, there's no place like Food and Stuff around, but she guesses the item bazaar will do. She can be found milling around the items shop with a shopping cart full of two stuffed crows, six betta fish, a kid's guitar, an inflatable hatchet, a voice-activated password journal, and sock em boppers ]

[ Like half an hour later, she's still in the items shop, but this time she's using an oar to row herself around the shop in her shopping cart. ]

[This guy is obsessively picking through each and every shelf in this establishment looking for SOMETHING with a mobile connection. iPhone, Galaxy, Blackberry, god, he'd even take a Windows Phone right now. THAT'S just how desperate he is.]
