Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Oak had never seen either of Diamond's Pokemon either, so is in the same boat of wanting to ask some questions. But since the younger boy had asked first, he's going to give him as much information he needed to know about his own Pokemon]

The four-legged Pokemon is Stantler. She's native to the Johto region and is my form of transportation. The Pokemon with the little one is Kangaskhan, native to the Kanto region. She and a few other Pokemon had helped me won the 1st Pokemon Championship back in my youth. There wasn't a trainer out there who could beat me then and possibly now. [He smiled, feeling quite proud of himself. It was quite an achievement, after all and isn't afraid to talk about it]

And the Pokemon with the wings is Fearow, who is the evolved form of Spearow. He too is native to the Kanto region and he is a Flying type. Both Stantler and Kangaskhan are Normal types.

[Get ready, Diamond, cause it's your turn to explain to him who's your Pokemon and where they're from]

Now, who is that Pokemon that was following you earlier... Lax, is it? And your other two; never in my years had I seen such Pokemon before...

[Ooooh. He takes in the information, nodding along, and when asked about his own a big smile takes it place on his face.]

Lax is my Munchlax! I've had him since he hatched from an Egg some years ago... He's a Normal type too, and is one of my best friends. The big turtle is Wig, my Torterra, and I actually got him by mistake. Em, it's a long story though, but it started out because my best friend Pearl and I were mistaken to be the Little Miss's bodyguards and got the Pokémon Turtwig and Chimchar. And the big pig is Moo, my Mamoswine. Missy caught him for me in by Snowpoint City because he reminded her of me.

[Look at that dumb smile on his face. He's got an obvious crush on this "Missy" girl.]

They're all native to Sinnoh, I think, so that's probably why you don't recognize them. Oh! Wig is Grass and Ground, and Moo is Ground and Ice. Ah... Fire'd be pretty good against both of them, huh.

[Not that he's going to battle any time soon, thankfully. That's Missy and Pearl's thing.]

[Awwww, now isn't that cute. Someone giving him a Pokemon because it reminded her of him? Now that's love right there... or just someone being a good friend. Regardless of what it might be, Diamond's expression had left the Professor chuckling to himself. Whoever this Miss is, she seems to be very important to him]

Yes, both of them are weak against fire, but also to different other types, so you have to be careful which moves you want to play out when battling against a Pokemon who may have a type advantage or two.

[Definitely so! He nods.]

I'm not that good at battling. [Diamond laughs a little, but it's true.] The Little Miss is really good though! She's won all the badges in Sinnoh and even beat the Brains in the Battle Area! Pearl and I helped her at first, but she did the latter all by herself. Well, Pearl helped her more than I did, I was kind of the one who got practiced on ~

[Pearl was definitely the better help, in his opinion, because of his natural strength in being able to see what kind of moves a Pokémon was about to use. Diamond's just the training dummy.]

I don't think you are giving yourself enough credit. [Or maybe he's just being modest? Oak can't say for sure] No matter how small a role you might have played, you'd helped your friend prepare herself and her Pokemon in winning against the Gym Leaders and the Frontier Brains.

[He added] It's all about teamwork, Diamond. Don't ever cut yourself short.
