the luceti test drive meme

Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

The only point that will be proven is mine.

[A battle to be held right in the hallway of a facility. Not quite unlike a battle they once had years ago- she laughs, to cover a subtle click of a pokeball.]

Let's go, Oak!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-16 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oak wasted no time to release his Pokemon from the ball, who in this case happens to be Fearow. Once Agatha releases one of her own, the battle can officially begin]
everghosting: ([ determined ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-16 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Arbok appears a moment later, it's tongue flicking as it faces the other Pokemon.

No need to waste time. There's grim determination in her expression.]

Ready? Use leer, now!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-16 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[The Beak Pokemon felt a little intimidated by Arbok's leer, which had successfully lowered its defense. That doesn't mean the snake's not going to get the same treatment, assuming Fearow can pull this off]

Mirror Move!
everghosting: ([ excitement ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-16 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[The move takes Arbok by surprise, also subsequently lowering it's defense. Agatha is still counting on the cobra's speed to keep up, however - at least enough to try and wear down the bird.]

Arbok, use Body slam!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-16 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Fly behind it and use Fury Attack!

[Fearow barely dodged Arbok's Body Slam, thanks to the power of flight. It gave the bird a small window of opportunity to follow with its Trainer's command.]
everghosting: ([ watching ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-17 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Now this was a real battle. Arbok takes a bit of a beating, more than it would have thanks to the previous leer and it's positioning, but Agatha knows it will take more than that to have it down and out completely.]

Roll over and use Wrap when he's finished!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-17 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
[It didn't take long before Fearow was finished with his recent attack, only to find himself wrapped up in his enemy's binds. The bird began to screech as the wrap tightens his body, taking away a good portion of his health. Still, Oak has a plan, but would it work?]

Use the same attack to free yourself, stab Arbok's skin!
everghosting: ([ something wrong ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-17 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Keep restricting his movements as much as you can!

[Arbok struggles to keep it's hold with Wrap, tightening its coils to try and keep the attempted jabbing to a minimum. It's still feeling those jabs due to it's increased sensitivity.]

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-17 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Things aren't looking good for poor Fearow, but at least he's still putting up a fight. Despite a few screeches here and there due to the tightened Wrap, he still continues to stab his opponent's skin until he's set free]

Keep it up, Fearow!
everghosting: ([ you will pay ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-17 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
[If those jabs keep up, the situation might turn more in Fearow's favor. The wrap slowly weakens- but Arbok needs to act fast to keep the upper hand.]

All right! Use Body Slam! Now!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-17 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
[What Oak and Fearow are willing to do at this point would either grant them victory or a disappointing loss. They just have to act at the right time in order to win this match. This one move should do the trick or at the very least turn the tides. Only one way to find out...]

Quick! Use Mirror Move before it Body Slams you!
everghosting: ([ off guard ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-17 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Just what was he trying to do...? There's not much time to wonder, as the two Pokemon suddenly collide. She had to think fast - had she misjudged how much strength his Fearow had?

No matter - Arbok had to be ready to act once the collision finishes its course.]

Regroup and Leer!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-17 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
[He was hoping that Fearow would used Mirror Move to wrap itself around Arbok, just as it did with him not to long ago. But instead, the Beak Pokemon received a dizzying headache from the collision. Could that mean that the Pokemon is confused?]

Fearow, snap out of it! Dodge the Leer!

[But Fearow was unable to do so, feeling more intimidated by the snake than ever before. Surely one more psychical attack will finish this bird off; can Oak prevent that from happening?]
everghosting: ([ you will pay ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-18 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
[One must never underestimate an Oak, though she could only hope the old coot was out of practice. Agatha's eyes are narrowed, teeth gritted in concentration - it wasn't easy to gauge just how much more Arbok could last in this fight. If they wanted an assured victory, they would have to end this as soon as possible.]

Circle Fearow and attack with a Body Slam!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-18 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
[An idea came to mind before Agatha had finished her command. It's a long shot, but it had been done before. If it worked for a certain blonde-haired trainer than maybe it'll work for him. He can only hope that Fearow can hang on and not let his dizziness get to him]

Circle Arbok as fast as you can!

[And the Beak Pokemon did, flapping his wings to increase enough speed to follow Arbok around and in circles. Maybe then will it give the snake a hard time to use Body Slam, since it can't afford a miss. But Fearow can only do this for so long, since he's getting dizzier and dizzier by the second]
everghosting: ([ something wrong ])

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-19 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Tch. [Well if he was going to employ tactics like that. With the bird circling, Arbok might get too dizzy to launch it's own attack. Hopefully it wasn't too late already -]

Don't get distracted! Let it tire itself out before striking!

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-20 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
[There's nothing Oak can do at this point except to wait it out and hope for the best. But the best may not come soon enough; the dizziness had finally taken its toll on Fearow and is now slowing down and trying to land. But with the Beak Pokemon seeing double and with the hallway being narrow, he will likely crash into a wall or even hit Agatha or himself. So what should he do now? Should he give his Pokemon one more command, wait it out and risk injury to Fearow and/or those around him, or forfeit the match?]

...

[The Professor wasted no time taking the ball out from his pocket to call back his Pokemon, thus ending the battle. It's not worth pushing Fearow over and beyond his limits just to prove a point and especially to Agatha. His beliefs are still the same regardless of the outcome and nothing's going to change that.]

[personal profile] everghosting 2013-02-20 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
What?

[Was he going to switch another Pokemon out? When nothing happens in what would usually pass for an opportunity to do so, Agatha stares at him, before finally recalling Arbok as well.]

So you've given up the fight.

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-20 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
There was no need to push Fearow beyond his limits when it's clear that you would win the match.

[He continued with his words, his voice stern.] This doesn't change anything, Agatha.

Doesn't it? You misjudged my capabilities! The least you can do is acknowledge that properly.

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-20 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
You've improved since our last battle, I'll give you that much. [Or maybe Oak was out of practice. It's been years after all.]

If only it was used for the greater good than for evil.

Don't you patronize me, Oak! Our plans would have led to a better, more natural world.

[personal profile] meanoldnut 2013-02-20 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
By annihilating the human race?! You are a fool to believe that!

You can't teach and guide all of them! Think of the groups like Team Rocket! How fast their numbers were able to multiply for their own gain!
