Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Kankuro was first intrigued by the sounds of wanton destruction, and so followed his ears to the place it was coming from.

Turns out it was some middle-aged guy blowing the shit out of a journal.

Still, it's rather interesting to see the yari-wielding man wreaking such total destruction on the paper object.]

[Hey he's only middle-aged when he chooses to be! ...Unless you translate Auldrant years into real years.

Jade casually turns to address the newcomer with a tweaking of his glasses. All those tattoos... young people these days. He smirks with a shrug of his shoulders.]

The plot was too light for my tastes.

[So, middle-aged then.

Hey, it's paint ojisan. Nice, purple paint.

Kankuro quirks an eyebrow at that before grinning wide in amusement.]

Aa? Tsk, well they can't all have heavy plots and strange twists. Otherwise they'd be boring, jaan.

[He definitely knows better than me that it's paint. It's still unusual to him.

Jade leans forward slightly, placing his hands in his pockets.]

Are you sure of that? I'd think it would be easier to tire of repetitive, mundane conversation. Particularly when such conversations will rarely glean any types of useful information.

[Oh well, fair point then.

Kankuro's eyebrows furrow slightly ...Wait, is that an insult or not? Is he Referring to this conversation or the journal? Augh, Kankuro hates not knowing and verbal spars. He's not the best at those.]

I suppose you have a point. Still- [Kankuro walks forward and nudges the remains with a sandeled toe.] while I hate to say overkill, since I know there is no kill like overkill, this seems a bit... silly. Just ignore it, that's what I do.

[Kankuro is not aware of the self-repairing nature of the journal because he treats books with respect. Mostly.

Yelling verbal abuse at books is not harmful no matter the archivist says.]

[And that's exactly the way Jade prefers it. In most instances, he could care less whether or not others can see through to the intent of his words; they can see as they will. Of course, those who can cut through his wit could prove to be something approaching someone of worth to him... or just a headache.

His smile and his red eyes, momentarily obscured by the gleam in his glasses, definitely give little to nothing away about his intentions. In fact, he appears to just be going on merrily.]

But then, how will this tome learn its lesson? Maybe it could learn to be a little more entertaining in its next life.
