Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

That might work for you and you Pokémon, but it just wouldn't cut it for us. Just deluding ourselves with false images of home isn't gonna fill that void. [Filling a hole with air isn't filling it at all.]

...Besides, for me and my Pokémon, home isn't defined by where we grew up or where we have a roof over our heads, or any of that!

To me--to us--home is anywhere as long as I've got my partners there with me. That includes these guys and my friends. They're what makes a place "home".

...Ahem! [He regains his composure before continuing with his words] I'll admit, I do not know everything about Pokemon, which is why I continue with my research. Everyday I learn more about them and unravel their secrets, only to find out that I'm barely scratching the surface. More and more species of Pokemon are found in various regions, along with new traits, evolutions, and types. It will take over a lifetime to fully learn and understand them.

It's a shame there are no new Pokemon native to Luceti.

We've got more than a handful of Pokémon trainers here, including a bunch from that Unova place, at least, so at least there's something for you to study.

[He nods silently while rubbing his chin. It's good that a few Pokemon are around for him to continue with his research, especially since some are from an unknown region. No doubt it'll keep him busy for a while, though there's something else that had sparked his interest that could very well hold as much importance as Pokemon]

I was thinking on my spare time I study on the Malnosso and Third Party in order to find a way back home or the reasoning behind the war. There must be something about them that has yet been written on the journals that can be used to benefit us and the rest of the Lucetians. [At least that's what he wants to believe]

Yeah, that's right. [He shrugs.] He's been here for a couple months now.

...I see. Being in Luceti for that long and with no way out must have been infuriating for the both of you.

...Well, I can't say the same for Senior Green, but... I actually got out.

[Oak wasn't expecting such an answer to come from Gold, which left him more surprised than anything else. Could it possibly mean that there's a way to go back home? And if so, why is Gold still here?]

Dunno! One day I was here, and the next... Home! And then, years later, I'm here again, and it's like this place didn't change a day! [If he knew, he wouldn't be here discussing it so casually just like this.]

[So they're right back to square one. And just when he thought he'll return to Kanto sooner rather than later. Or in this case, not at all. What a shame.]

It doesn't explain much, but at least we know now that it's not impossible to leave Luceti.

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to people bein' able to go home from this place, much less a method. Some people leave after a couple weeks, but others've been stuck here for years! I was stuck here three years before I got to leave.

[That's three years too long for Oak. He can't possibly stay here for an undetermined amount of time with no idea when he'll be able to return home. What of his Pokemon back in the lab? And what of his Granddaughter Daisy? Will he ever see them again, if at all? Only the Malnosso knows.]

...This can't be...! [If anything, Oak is completely flabbergasted.] You was at the Battle Frontier's elimination rounds with the rest of them a month ago!

Well, if it's any consolation for you, gramps... I spent about three years back home since that time after I left here. I'm sixteen now.

[Come on, Mr. Scholar, hopefully you can understand what Gold's implying here to you.]

[Oak was silent for a moment, not at all noticing Gold's current age until he had mentioned it recently. And from the looks of it, this boy had grown since the last time he'd saw him. Truly this isn't the Gold that was freed from petrification not too long ago, so this could only mean one thing]
