Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Y-yes, of course. I'm Platina Berlitz, from Sinnoh. I do research with Professor Rowan!

[Oak remembers him! He is his Senior after all and was the last one he'd called to help with the Pokedexes before this whole 'wake up in Luceti' deal happened]

I see. Then he had chosen a remarkable assistant.

[Cause like himself, Rowan takes his work seriously and isn't going to just pick someone to do a half-baked job]

I'm not quite sure if my assistant is already in Luceti. If not, then I would like to use you in her absence, if you don't mind.

Ah... yes, she actually is! I've told her a bit about the myths I've studied, too.

Sinnoh's creation myths. She wanted to learn about a pokemon named Arceus... was that for your research?

Yes... and no. My research involves collecting data from Pokemon to fill up my Pokedex. So I see no problem with her studying Arceus and the creation myths, since it may prove beneficial at a later time... assuming Arceus is real.

[Oak can't say for sure. He'd never heard of the Pokemon before. If Arceus is the real deal, will the Pokedex update its stats and other data or will it already be in need of an upgrade?]

Fair enough. Ah... but it might be tough continuing your work here. Luceti has no native pokemon.

[Unfortunately so. He's been studying Pokemon his whole life. What can he possibly do here if there's no Pokemon in sight?]

Yes... that is troubling. Perhaps I can focus my studies on Luceti's origins, and the Malnosso and Third Party.

[It may not be Pokemon, but he would rather do something other than stagnate. It's just not him to do nothing; he'll go insane!]

You certainly could. It's an ongoing investigation by everyone in Luceti, it seems, but we would certainly benefit from your help!

I will do my best, Platina. And if I find anything, I'll let them know. ['Them' being vague, as he has no idea who to provide the information to.]

Who's in charge in this investigation?

I think there's a resistance force, but I'm not actually that familiar with it or the leaders. I'm sorry I don't have enough information!

You have given me enough to know that we have a resistance group, so I will ask the others about it in the journals later this afternoon. But for now I need to focus on my Pokemon for the time being. Although they are well at the moment, I'm not sure if their mood would remain stable once the simulation ends.

Luceti doesn't have any native pokemon, but ours seem to be able to adjust quite well. But why do you think so?

I believe a Pokemon is a reflection of their Trainer's thoughts, moods, and emotion. If their Trainer is happy, sad, or angry, then they would be. With that said, I believe you and the other Pokedex Holders have accepted life in Luceti, as Gold told me earlier that home is anywhere as long as you have your partners and friends by your side.

While that's true on all counts... [He trails off, but smiles at Platina. There's no need for her to worry about him. His problems are his own and he would rather take them on himself. He and his Pokemon just needed some time to adjust, that's all]

[Poor Platina. Just know that you aren't the only one missing your home region and what he believes to be someone important to you. Oak too misses someone who is dear to his heart - his granddaughter Daisy. He can't help but think about her everyday. But in this case, he at least knows that she is alive and well. And he has Green here, his Pokemon, and the other Pokedex Holders, so if anything he's not truly alone.]

It's alright, Platina. [He finally said after a long pause.] If it would help, I could change the stimulation to your hometown in Sinnoh.

Ah... have you visited Sinnoh? Would you know how to simulate it?

[ a little surprised, it'd taken her a while to get more familiar with battle dome settings and she wasn't a master yet. but then again, this is professor Oak if anyone could do it within a day of arriving, IT'D BE HIM :O ]
