Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[It's weird how excited this stranger is to see him - but he answers her with a flat stare.]

I'll have you know this fur is all natural. No blue animals had to be harmed for this fuzz to happen!

No way. [Completely in shock now. It can't be Kurt. This kid is her age! Kurt is older... right?] You look so young!

[He starts to realize - does she know Billy and Armor? They both expected him to be older.]

Well I do make sure to work out. [He says with a smug grin, before he continues with a bit less of silliness.] Of course, it also helps that this place doesn't pay much attention to the laws of time and space when it grabs people.

[Jonas told her something about that.] I just never expected to see you so... young. Every story I've heard about you, you been... older.

Stories, huh? I never thought I'd be the stuff of legends. [It's kind of flattering to know... if also intimidating.] But I've been hearing things like that before. You must be from my future, too, or some kind of different timeline. [And he points towards his chest.] This fuzzy guy's still in high school.

I've just started high school! [Aw man! Being the same age as a legend? This was really exciting.]

I'm Cassie, Cassie Lang. My dad's Ant-Man. Well, not the original Ant-Man- [She stops herself. Getting a bit too excited.] Um, sorry. I'm Cassie.

So I'm dealing with a freshman, here. Nice to meet you, Cassie. I can't say I've heard of an Ant-Man... And you might already know this, but my name's Kurt Wagner. Or maybe you know me better as Nightcrawler.

[Man. She's so embarrassed right now. But, of course, he doesn't know Ant-Man. Kurt's still in high school, so Hank must still be young too.]

I kind grew up with stories about you. I mainly heard about the Avengers, but every now and then I heard about the X-men.

[Maybe he is, somewhere in an obscure corner of the Evoverse. BUT WE WILL NEVER KNOW.]

Wow... I had no idea we were that big. I guess we must have many years of heroic exploits ahead of us, yeah? [Maybe they'd actually make a difference. It's a lot to think about.]

Well, yeah. I guess you have a lot too. Kinda wish I heard more about you, but... I was really interested in what my father did.

That's amazing. But don't worry - as long as you're here, now you can learn in person all about the legend of the fuzz! [Pause with a cheeky smile.] So... your dad, the Ant-Man. What's his deal?

Well, Ant-Man isn't a mutant like you are. His powers come from something called Pym Particles that allow him to get big or small. He can also talk to ants through his helmet.

Pym Particles? I never heard of them. That sounds pretty cool! I'd expect size changing to work only one way or the other. I just, uh... kinda hard to see what talking to ants can do.

Ants are really smart, actually. Plus, they can carry things ten times their weight, so they're really strong.

Would you want to face a million ants at once?

You make a good point. And it makes so much more sense why the teachers get on my case about leaving food around...

[She laughs.]

All bugs have a much bigger impact on your life than you think.

That's weird to think about on so many levels. [And he lets out a laugh] But I'm guessing there's been an impact on your life, too, or is that get-up just a fashion statement?

Yeah. [Proud grin.] I kinda took after my dad.

Should I be calling you Ant-Girl, then?

[A chuckle.] No. I'm Stature. But, ya know? You can just call me Cassie.

Right, Cassie. So I'm guessing Ant Princess must have been taken.

[You're getting a look.]

Do I look like the princess-type to you? [Answer: yes. She was. She's daddy's little princess.]

[He pauses for a moment and strokes at his fuzzy chin in mock scrutiny, as if really considering a deep point. He then points above her head and traces the outline of a crown atop it, as if trying to picture it. After a few more moments, he nods.]

You just might fit the bill.

Uh-huh. Well, this princess can still kick butt.

All the best ones can. You'll find there's a few butt-kicking princesses around here already, even.
