Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[ If there is one arrival worse than waking up covered in seaweed, it's waking up with your wings tangled in some random shrubbery. Not that Asuma had been expecting to wake up in a bush. ( Or in new-feather attire, like seriously what. ) Still! He can deal. Or try to deal, given the whole 'wings are tangled in a bush' thing. Though after trying--and failing--to de-tangle himself with as little pain as possible, he flips open his journal, clears his throat and hopes for the best. ]

Anyone have a pair of scissors they'd be willing to part with?

[ There is a new feather headed towards where his clothes from home would be kept. He doesn't really seem all that bothered by his arrival in Luceti, though the branches currently tangled all up in his feathers don't really look comfortable...De-tangling branches is kind of a pain, ok??? ]

[ Asuma's been here a few weeks now, and gotten used to the whole 'you've been missing for a year, BTW' thing. Though getting re-settled has kept him pretty busy, which means it's high time he takes a break!!

Though it seems he fell asleep in the middle of his relaxing, people-watching afternoon, and is now sitting arms crossed under a tree--Dude's out like a light. ]

[Lee finds himself staring intently at the sleeping sensei, and he speaks in an awed whisper.]

Ahhh, the legendary Asuma-Sensei seems to be in a meditative state...

I believe I have seen him in such a state several times around Konoha. This is truly a sign of his concentration and sheer dedication to the ninja arts.

[Let's make Asuma's life miserable by encouraging Lee before ditching just before Asuma wakes up.]

Oh yeah. He learned that among the Twelve Ninja Guardians, you know? It's a sacred technique passed down by the monks at the Fire Temple.

[He looks towards Shikamaru, clearly impressed. Lee wonders how many of those skills Shikamaru inherited from his master - was he even more powerful than he imagined?]

Oohhh, I see! I'd expect no less from the son of a Hokage! I cannot even imagine what other secret skills he could possess...

You could ask. Heck, if you bug him enough, he might even teach you one.

That would be most exciting! But... [He frowns.] I wonder if it would be improper to ask such of another's mentor.

Naaah. Even Naruto had to go to Asuma for help with his Wind Nature training.

Is that so? Then I see no harm in asking. And I hope in return, Shikamaru-kun, that you one day get the opportunity to learn the secrets of Gai-Sensei!

[It's pretty normal for this girl to visit the clothing store from time to time. It's one of the only things she can busy herself with in this place. So when Ino arrives in the clothing shop, she doesn't expect something out of the ordinary.

That when she spots her sensei once again, Ino approaches in both shock and disbelief.]

... Sensei? You're- You're back.

[lastsmoke]

...Back?

[ He frowns a moment, looking to the ground, thinking. He didn't remember leaving...though then again, he probably wouldn't.

After a moment he laughs. ]

Suppose that explains the pants. [ And waking up out in the woods, but she doesn't need to know that. ]

[floralogy]

Yeah, I guess... [She gives a soft chuckle of her own. She will never admit how much she missed him and how much his words gave her the courage to do what she needed to do then.]

Since when did you... well, arrive? Are you okay? [She tilts her head to give his wings a once-over.] Those don't look okay.

[lastsmoke]

I woke up not that long ago, maybe an hour tops. [ He shrugs, absently wondering how long he's been gone. (And hoping it hasn't been too long a time.) He's back now, though, and that was what mattered.

He motions to his wings with a tilt of his head. ] These are this place's idea of a joke. Kind of a pain, but not something I can't handle.

[floralogy]

I see. [It had been months since he'd been here, though, but yes, he's back and that's all that ever matters.

At the mention of his wings, she gives a sheepish smile.] Want some help?

Nah, I should be able to get them all out myself. [ He laughs. ] I'm more worried about the weather anyway.

[After that thing with Lee, Shikamaru's hanging around town. Have fun, sensei?]

[ Oh hey Shikamaru, so how about that thing with Lee. ]

So. A little bird told me you were bragging about my secret skills? [ And you know, letting Lee just sit there watching him sleep. 8| ]

What a loud bird. It was that green one, wasn't it?

I passed him by on the way into town admiring your 'meditative state'. It was too good to pass up.

[ A laugh. ] Well, let's just hope he doesn't start asking me for lessons. [ It'd be a good way to spend the time, sure, but he didn't sign up for these shenanigans. ]
