Time stops for us back home while we are here, and it appears that it is reverted whenever it is that we go home. So our time here ultimately does not matter back home. However... While we are here, everything here is still very real.

As for what happens here... we are stuck in the enclosure known as Luceti. We are left to our own devices, and there is a village with various activities that can be performed. As well as a Battle Dome for the purpose of training. We must also contend with the Malnosso's experiments... and sometimes they may call upon us for battle.

How do they keep us alive if we can't even fly with them?

[That means there is like zero point to them, great.]

What sort of experiments? You know I was never good at academy work and such...

Because, Naruto-kun, removing them... is death!

We were not in the same class, but I am aware of your past failings. [Since Naruto always sucking seemed to be the most popular topic of conversation around Konoha apparently.] However, they are not tests of your knowledge. The Malnosso scientists experiment with things called shifts, which can alter reality within this enclosure in very odd ways. It is hard to explain... but I suppose in most cases they are like very realistic genjutsu that can even change our perceptions of ourselves!

You could say there are similarities. However, their effects are rarely so scarring. In many cases, they are just... confusing. [Dude, once his eyebrows came to life and ran away from him.]

So basically we just have to hang around here while a bunch of weirdos try and do things to us.

[Audiable sigh, just... what even.]

Ah... I suppose that is an accurate summary of the situation. However... it is not always peaceful. Aside from the optional missions which can be embarked on, the Malnosso will sometimes try to draft our numbers to fight individual battles in the war being waged outside this dome.

Their enemy is a cult that is known as the Third Party. They are vicious and seek the indiscriminate and permanent destruction of this planet's life. It is a very dire situation, you see.

The Third Party are definitely bad. The Malnosso are of questionable character, but they claim to be helping us. I suppose it is the lesser of two evils!
