Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Normally, Katniss prefers her targets a little less stationary. What's the point of shooting something that doesn't move when her primary use for a bow is still hunting? Will probably always be hunting. But sometimes, okay, a lot of the times, it's fun to show off.

Which is why, when she spots the handmade targets, she can't resist but do just that. She doesn't recognize the red haired girl but she does, at least, appreciate the attempts the girl is making with the targets. Not yet wanting to introduce herself, Katniss stays close to the bushes behind the girl. And in a smooth flow of motions, pulls an arrow from her quiver, aims, and releases.

Bullseye.]

[The sudden shot out of nowhere is startling for Merida- mostly because she was about to shoot the very same target herself. She hesitates just a moment, then goes ahead and shoots, her arrow striking the wood right beside the first. Only then does she take a look around, pulling Angus in to slow him down. She's got sharp eyes, but this archer is apparently well-hidden.

Still, if it's a contest they're after... if she doesn't spot them, she'll head right on to the next target with enthusiasm. The thought of danger doesn't really occur to her; someone who can strike a bullseye while hidden clearly wasn't aiming for her.]

[stillplaying]

[There's a grin on her face when the other girl's arrow hits the target. It's been a long, long time since she's had a chance to shoot with someone close to her own age. Especially someone as good as she is.

But unlike the red haired girl, Katniss isn't on horseback. She knows that if the girl leaves, she won't be able to catch up to the next target in time. Katniss might be fast, might be a decent runner, but she's not that fast.

So she steps out from behind the bush and holds up her bow in greeting.] That was a good shot.

[Merida turns Angus and pulls him into a slower walk at the voice, trotting back to where Katniss is standing. She returns the gesture with a smile and a nod, intrigued.]

I could say the same of you. And I didn't even see you in the brush!
